Customer service
Harlequin's site has free articles on how to write for them, and also tips on writing a novel in general.
Easy to understand and to find their tips.
Harlequin is much better, and it is free to use.
Authorhouse charges for everything, and is very confusing.

Product or Service Quality
Harlequin never bothers you. I get emails wanting to sell me books, but no pushing about it.
Authorhouse is very pushy, and they phone you at home to bother you, just like any other telemarketer.
All in all, Harlequin is professional and polite, while Authorhouse is pushy and annoying.
