YouFit supposedly could not process my membership fee this month, so after a few days they simply processed my membership fee again, but this time added ten dollars to the charge, calling it a late fee and processing fee. They did this without any kind of notification to me of a billing problem with my card. After all I would have gladly provided another card if there was a problem. A call, text, email, an emailed receipt, etc. is apparently not in their best interest I assume, because they did not contact me at all. When I asked how I cancel my membership, they said it must be done in person or via a certified letter, plus a ten dollar cancellation fee. Again making it as difficult as possible for their customer. Even my auto insurance can be activated or cancelled over the phone. But not YouFit memberships!

In order to cancel my membership, because I am away on military orders, they required a certified letter and a fee of $10 to cancel. Both were never mentioned when signing up. Maybe it is in the fine print on the membership agreement, but the way I see it, I lost 20 dollars this month to a business that really couldn't care about alienating its members or building a loyal customer base.

I would have contacted my customer if there was a billing issue, not simply charged their account a "$7 Late Fee, plus a $3 processing Fee." I guess it has become a fee based society. However I recommend anyone that reads this post, please do business with companies that do not believe in this fee based society. Support businesses that do not stick you with fees at every opportunity they get.

In addition, like other customer complaints here, I did not like the Gym, it was always too busy, too small, and not enough of the specific equipment that everyone wants to use, i.e. free weights, Chest, Arm, and Back Machines etc.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

My only complain is they charged way too much for late fees literally I paid 4 days lays they then 7 days I have to pay $53 more I just donโ€™t get it

One, you're responsible for ensuring that the card you have on file with them is "working."

Two, the health club business model is not based on customer loyalty. Quite the opposite. Know this next time you join a gym.

How do you know it wasn't an error on billing at YouFit? They auto withdrawal so how is she late? If it didn't go through there are a number of possible reasons no all have to be the consumer's fault.

Good luck on finding a company that doesn't charge late fees. And you should always read your contract before signing it, ignorance is not an excuse!
