Started at $35.00 per call, Then went down $29.00, No expenses reembursed. (mileage only paid if over 35 miles to site, max 500 miles) No local office. The work load is awfull. Many days I would get no calls, but I need to make myself available to them every day. WTF. Then they went to a new pay structure, $14.00 an hour-only the hours you are actually on site. If I'm on site for 30 minutes they pay $7.00. At this point I quit. They justified this by paying mileage to the site and offering a free smart phone. Business expense is not income! What kind of people are they attracting at this wage?

I was an experienced tech with consistently high customer reviews but also ashamed that I qualified for and using food stamps. The company culture is one of intimidation and fear.

Down here in the western & piedmont area of NC a P1 with wwts makes ~15 bucks per hour give or take a bit. plus mileage reimbursement is only 33 cent per mile for OVER 35 miles site to site.

that's why i try my best each morning to spread my calls out over the day then do the last one closest to home because you only get paid one way and have to eat the cost each time, sometimes you just get unlucky and have to eat a huge non payed back ride though. plus the complementary phones are not that nice model wise (low resource spec samsung rugbys you can barely run a few apps on without filling up onboard RAM completely) and they word the IT usage agreement contract agreement for the phones to make them for wwts business purposes only, so no personal calls on unit. at least when it comes down to it F tier (fulltime) gets slightly better treatment which steve is referring too (round trip plus benefits), but P tier outright sucks, us folks have it hard. Sometimes even as P tier my days are 12-14hrs long these days because management won't listen and i've begged them for months to get another P1 down here so we can split volume but haven't heard a thing.

sometimes call volumes do flux rapidly though and are dead as a doornail or booked days ahead of time slammed depending on season. Ron is right though, hit the nail on the head. glad someone finally spoke up about what's going on these days, its just not right.

the experience with all the OEMs we do now is good but the wage is awful. at this point other poster is right too, only ones left just about are the passionate ones like me and anon poster.

This guy is lying! The pay grade is not like this, don't believe it.

If it was, i wouldn't pull in a good wage being part-time with the company. They pay mileage to the work order and hourly and hourly and mileage back minus the first 40 miles on return. Probably just sucked and got mad because he did not know what he was doing.

Management is very understanding. Yes, there are some issues that are in need of change but what he is saying is false!
