Saveway stores are the biggest rip offs ever. First they changed my card to be under another persons name as they used my phone number. I don't think they should be able to change my card into another persons name without my permission. What kind of security is this?

Then several times each week I receive emails from them telling me that I have all weekend to shop and receive the friday specials. well I went on Saturday, entered my number and expected to get the discount for the friday special that were supposed to be under the JUST4U program. should be just to *** program. They send me out the door with a receipt that is 23 inches long has all these prices and minus entries, some on the line, some at the bottom of the receipt. So today I looked at the receipt and all of the items that were supposed to be at the lower FRIDAY special rate were over charged. I called the store and they give me this bs that I didn't register correctly. Told me I had to call the corporate number, so I do and the girl was rude, said I must not have understood the program and that I was out of luck. SO SAFEWAY SCREWED ME...... BUYER BEWARE..... They are a rip off company and I will never shop in there store again. I spend over $148.00 and upon reviewing the receipt at least 10 items that I was overcharged on. There must be a comsumer group that I can complaint to. Any one know who that would be? I am not talking about a penny or two. Several of the items are over $2.00 more per item. This is not right. Something needs to be done about these deceipted advertising and ripping off of our money.

The problem is that both of you people are just dumb. You need to read the fine print and not buy something that is of the wrong quantity or the wrong product.

Something like Odwalla and Naked Juice are different.

You have to buy the exact product of the exact quantity or expect it not to register. I love just4u and have had very few problems in the past that weren't due to my carelessness.

The Just 4 You Program is the worst I have ever encountered. I have spent the last 30 years with computers but this program is very difficult to use.

After not getting my discounts over and over - even tho I was registered - even tho I added items to my cart - I couldn't get the discount at the register. Now after spending 1 hour at the store with a computer clerk, we discovered a small drop down menu off to the far right that asks where you want to add your items. To my basket where else? I printed my new list and went shopping.

Some items (i.e.Clorox 82-96oz) was not on the shelf. I chased down a clerk who said that this item may not be stocked in this store. Remember, the computer knows the prices for my store #2314 in Atascadero, CA. Get whatever and she'll vouch for the price.

Of course, she is on lunch and not available when I check out. "Do I still want it?" It is impossible to tell if you are getting the 'Just 4 You' prices until the receipt is printed. At that point, you can either hold up the line and risk the wrath of fellow shoppers or go to 'customer service' where they are so sick of this and are hateful. Often, I choose to take my receipt home and fight the fight another day.

But I don't because life is so short I don't have it in me. This is Von's evil plan.

So from now on, I'm only going to Alberstons. Even if it cost 20 cents more, my sanity is worth it.

I agree about the Just4U program. Today, three items failed to scan with the appropriate discounts. I always print the list so I was able to 'prove' to the cashier that I was entitled to the lower prices. She then 'forced' the correct prices. I also buy meat items that are reduced by 50% or 75%. One item was discounted 50%, but off a higher price that what was indicated on the sticker! I was given the item free, but only after I complained.

I have warned the Pavilions in South Pasadena of the frequency of these overcharges for which they apologize and adjust, but only after I complain. I should be able to trust the scanned prices as accurate without having to go through the same drill over and over again. I have threatened to file a complaint with Weights and Measures of LA County. They send a 'mole' into the store and purchase items. If the prices are inaccurate, the store is fined. However, that process takes weeks to ramp up due to understaffing.

I also shop at Ralphs. I have NEVER been overcharged to the best of my memory. Vons/Pavilions needs to clean up its act IMMEDIATELY!!
