Viking contacted me regarding a damage claim that had gone into collections. It was six minths old by the time they even left me a voice mail (mailing address was incorrect).
This was on a budget rented car in St Louis. As other reviewers have stated, i was given the all clear at return so i asked for info relating to claim. Photos had front bumper detached on left side. Pretty obvious damage-would have been seen when returning.
Lucky for me there was a photo of dash from body shop at check in to document mileage. The car had about 600 more miles on it than when i returned. Additionally, it had a 1/4 tank of gas when i returned full.
Also damage claim/appraisal was 2.5 weeks after i returned and noted damage on opposite side of car. Unbelievably sloppy and unprofessional of Budget/Viking not to review facts before pursuing collections.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
