I have been a customer for 10+ years, first Wild Blue, then Exede, now Viasat.

The plan I was on (150 GB / Boost 25 Mbps) is no longer supported by the company and as such, users on this plan are no longer prioritized. The result is download speeds averaging between .4 Mbps and .6 Mbps that are too slow for any kind of streaming and many other applications.

As such, I was forced to "upgrade" to the Freedom 50 GB - 12 Mbps plan with the promise of greatly increased speeds. After upgrading to the new supported plan, there were still continuing issues with very slow speeds (1.3 Mbps to 2.4 Mbps). All in all, I am very disappointed in the internet service provided by this company.

I can see why their average customer rating on all the consumer review sites is usually only 1 Star. If at all possible, I would explore other options and services rather than using Viasat.

Product or Service Mentioned: Viasat Internet Service.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $2100.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

I liked: Easy to speak with an agent with very short wait times.

I didn't like: Extremely slow internet service expensive not dependable.
