Vanilla Mastercard - Vanilla gift card rip off in north dakota
I received a vanilla gift card from my son and his family who live in Virginia.the card would not activate because the card number was invalid.
my daughter in law went to the place she purchased and received a replacement card which was sent to me. I had to wait 7 days to activate, at which time it wanted a year of birth. so after I figured out birth year from the purchaser(which they never entered) and the $100 card was activated. when I tried to use the card, I was told it was expired.
I then called customer service and finally was able to talk to a real person and she stated that I would need the receipt because there was a problem with the activation. i am very frustrated at this point and do not want to bother my family anymore, but I dont want this company getting away with free money.
DO NOT PURCHASE A vanilla visa gift card.....it is a scam.I am surprised they are still in business and major retailers are still selling these gift cards.
