Valvoline - NH State Inspection
I went to Valvoline Tilton, NH to get an annual state inspection. While it is convenient I will not use them again.
He began inspecting my 02 jeep liberty. After about 3 minutes he comes into the waiting room to tell me that he has found 3 things wrong and I will not get a sticker today. I said I needed it inspected please and keep going. When finished he said I had a parking brake that wouldn't hold and a power steering leak.
I informed him the oil film he was looking at was from a leaking PS hose that I had changed previously. I may have well talked to the wall. I cleaned the old greasy film from under the car and returned. Now he says the parking brake is fine even though I did nothing to it but, the ps is still leaking.
I looked with him and saw a little greasy film that I failed to clean on the PS pump, so he failed me again. I went home, removed the pump and thghtened all bolts and redid all connections even though there was no sign of leaking. He failed me again for PS leak. I asked if there was anyone that could arbitrate this and he said the State Police could but if I called them they would tow and impound my car.
He also could hear the PS pump squealing. It absolutely was not.
I took my car elsewhere and there were no leak problems. Thanks Valvoline.
