Recently, I applied for health insurance through IHealth. A few days later I received a call from a company titled "United Value Benefits" saying that they were a medical insurance that would cover vision, dental and medical costs for a monthly payment of $229.

All these benefits included for this monthly payment, I was shocked and so immediately agreed. I thought this was from the same company that I applied for because they already had all of my information. I received about 5 emails from these people for confirmation so therefore I thought it must have been real. but beware people, it is not.

They also signed me up for an NEA accidental coverage and I had to pay an extra $92.95. It has not even been a month yet and they have charged me about 3 times. When I signed up, they told me I would receive my policy and id cards within 4-10 days. After about a week or two, I began to get worried so I called them back.

The first time I called, they said they had just recently sent them out so all I had to do was wait. Another week passed and still no sign of the cards. I called, yet again and they said I should have received the cards a few weeks ago but since I hadn't, they "resent" them and told me to wait again. This occurred a total of 3 times before I realized what was going on.

They also did not mention that this was only a discount plan and NOT medical insurance. So, please be careful if you have received calls from this company.

Reason of review: fraud.

United Value Benefits Cons: Scam.

It clearly states in the recorded verification that you agreed to that the policy is not health insurance and it is a discount plan. That is a recorded verification that is done and to move forward you have to agree so I would say it would benefit you in the future to pay closer attention to what is being read to you and most importantly to what you are agreeing to.
