Uhaul - Trailer Rental Review
I have rented from Uhaul several times, and had never had any issues. I borrowed a large truck and hired some day labor to move me.
The truck was too small for all my things, so I reserved 6' x 12' trailer from Uhaul. When I got there, they asked for my driver license and license of person who would be driving the towing truck. The guy I had hired gave him his license. Uhaul's system brought up a small balance on him (that uhaul was showing was in dispute) and had linked him to a moving company past due (the guy's regular job) account.
Uhaul would not rent me the trailer even for cash (even if I hooked it to my SUV & towed it myself) and told me the laborer was forever linked to his boss's acct and that now I am forever linked to both their accts until they both pay!! Is this even legal??
Reason of review: Order processing issue.

IF YOU ARE WITH A PERSON THAT IS ON E-ALERTS THEN U-HAUL EMPLOYEES CANNOT ANYONE IN YOUR PARTY UNTIL THE MATTER IS CLEARED UP.
Before you rent a U-Haul BEWARE...if you don't plan to be the actual driver, be sure the driver you plan to use does not have an outstanding balance with them! They will link you to the person who owes them money indefinitely until they pay and you will be denied rentals!!! This just happened to me on moving day!!!
