Turkey Trot is a long-distance charity run which is held around Thanksgiving Day in USA. A Turkey Trot in San Jose is held by Silicon Valley Turkey Trot. All the money raised goes for charity. The following funds are supported: Housing Trust Silicon Valley, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County, Healthier Kids Foundation Santa Clara County, The Health Trust, and others. The events include 5K runs and walks, kids fun runs, 10K wheelchair events, 5K competitions for CEOs and celebrities, elite men’s and women’s invitational 5K competitions, quickest and fastest firefighter competitions, and much more.
