Tucson Property Executives - To warn others of this business's predatory practices
Marni Allen, the owner, is a scam artist. When I was renting from her back in 2009/2010, she would try to charge me late fees even though my rent was always on time.
She also tried to extort more money from me by accusing me of breaking my lease by subletting it, and also by keeping an unapproved animal in the unit, neither of which is true. Then when I moved out, I cleaned the place top to bottom and even hired a professional carpet cleaner. I literally left the place cleaner than it was when I moved in. She refused to schedule a walk through with me, but then kept my deposit claiming I didn't clean the place and she had to hide a professional.
Even if that were true, which it's not, it wouldn't cost $600 just to have a small 1br apartment cleaned. Like, it was literally a garage that was turned into a duplex, of which I was only renting half, so very very tiny.
Since she refused to do a walkthrough though, she never really had a leg to stand on, and I easily would have won a lawsuit against her if I'd had the time or money to take her to court at the time. Anyway, I don't know why I'm thinking about this all these years later, guess it still makes me angry, but I thought people should know about this despicable piece of human refuse that is Marni Allen and Tucson Property Executives.
