I know what other wives, girlfriends, partners and families are going through when their family member is a store manager at a Tire Kingdom store. My husband is a store manager and for him to bring home a managers paycheck he like others have to work equivelant of 2 weeks normal working hours in just 1 week.

My husbands supervisors don't care I guess they don,t have a life, I know my husband would like his back. When our daughter graduated from high school he was given 2 hours off to watch her walk, that is bull ***. I can not make any family plans that include my husband, if we are lucky he may get the time off. This week my husband only got one day off.

Others may eat, breathe and sleep Tire Kingdom but it's about time that the owners or district managers showed a little more concern for their managers and employees then the stores may get more business.

It's nice to walk in a business and see a smiling face, not at Tire Kingdom. Tire Kingdom SUCKS, give these managers some of their life back.

Location: Casselberry, Florida

I am going through the same problem. On top of that why do they have personal time if they cant use it?

My husband had court today and was told to go to court then to come to work afterwards. He put the day off on the calendar like they told him to do and he was still scheduled.. I think its *** He opens and closes every day that he works.

What do I do? I need help on this situation.

Well Store managers make $100k+ depending on the bonus they qualified for. How about instead of crying about it, your husband goes to mcdonalds and lets someone willing to put the time in have the Position...

I work for a different tire company and many of my employees are refugees from the tyrant tire kingdom. I used to be so proud of my company for it's focus on BALANCE.

Hard work for a fair amount of time and see the kids and wife every day. The foundation is corroding and we are falling too.

It's not that I don't appreciate a job as one previously wrote, but we are talking about decent treatment of human beings. I don't know if it is better any where else.

Im a survivor. I recently left tire kingdom.

Horrible company. They make promises they could never meet or plan to meet.

My husband works his *** off everyday. He even goes in on his day off when he gets one.

Working 70-80 hours week in and week out is not right especially when does not show in your pay check. The constant changing of bonus programs makes it harder and harder to even get one. The newest version is the worst because if you don't increase your car count you lose 50% of your bonus. Who cares about a car count if you meet or exceed all of their required numbers for the budget.

I guess they are trying to save money to pay all the high ups more for sending emails and degrading the employees. The only people that really get any benefit out of TK are the ones that aren't married, no family, or just plain and simple have NO LIFE. What good is all that money if you don't have anyone to share with. TK needs to really appreciate everything that their store managers do everyday.

Some managers really care and liked their jobs until thay got *** on by the ADS. My husband has worked for many companies and this one has been the best pay but when you take in to consideration what you have to go thru is it really worth it. Right now my husband will probably end of losing vacation time because he can't ever take it.

When you have kids vacations need to be when your kids are out of school but TK won't let you have vacation time at Christmas. I really do hate my husbands employer and hope he can find something better out there real soon.

I too have a husband who is a Tire Kingdom slave. He feels the same as Undercover78, he might as well sleep in the store.

Like they tell him he needs to work bell to bell if he doesn't meet budget. He is punished like a 4th grader when the numbers are not met.

I'm grateful he has a job, however I wish he can enjoy his family and life as well. :cry :cry

Haha 3200 only if you suck or have run your store into the ground I bonus 4000. For most of the people crying how many have 4 year degrees in business?

For most cases hard work and dedication turns into a opportunity of a shot at taking over a store. Then most people want to get lazy. My store hit's tire and service and I could work 50 hours a week if I wanted to.

So to all of the people hating on the brand. If you fix your store and train your people to do the job that they are paid to do you like me can enjoy shorter weeks.

It's the retail way of life. Family members work for the 2nd largest in the USA and guess what?

It's no different there. Wife works maybe 65 hours on a short week and 80 on most.

It really is amusing seeing all the complaints about too much work...The economy is still screwed up and people are complaining about having jobs? What the *** is wrong with people???

There are people dieing for a job and cant get one...Here is a suggestion...Quit your job and let someone who needs it take your place...dont think your not expendable...everyone is replaceable...Lets see how you get to a graduation with no gas because you dont wanna work so much...Lets see how fun it is for your wife to sit at home doin crosswords because their is no power to watch tv...Just quit complaining and be greatful you have a *** job.

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THANKS TIRE KINGDOM, ITS NICE TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD TO RUN THE AIR CONDITIONER AGAIN!!!

i agree completely with you on this statement... i have owned my own store for 15 years...

when you manage a store, it is your job to ensure the proper growth of that location.. you know that when you take that position on... and therefore can't send complaints about RM or the DR... Their job is to ensure proper growth for the entire area and depend on hardworking individuals with big goals..

the only way to reach sales goals is to be THERE to MAKE the sales... and if your not getting paid enough its because your not pushing the right sales.. these positions are paid on commission bases, so in order to achieve the high paycheck deserved from the hours is to push the items for sale that those RM/DM ask you to push.. the more sales the more pay...

and anyways, at least you have a job, a good one at that... your not at low end of totem pole... the better you do ... the more chance to become the DM that you think is such a cush job...

but then again if you can't handle the stress of your own store you definitely won't be able to handle a couple hundred stores and make sure everyone is doing their jobs...

so just enjoy the pay you get, and be thankful God has BLessed you with work to do ... 8)

Ya crank up the A/C cause the house that you won't see for 12/14 hours 6/7 days a week need to stay cool... That BIG salary won't see as big if you figure out your hourly rate.

I have lost my dear husband to Tire Kingdom as well. He is a service manager and works non stop.

He's never allowed a weekend day off even if he asks for it in advance. Even if he asks for a certain weekday in advance, it's very rare that he gets that. Over the last 5 yrs, he has worked at every Tire Kingdom in our area, being passed around, taken advantage of and treated like ***. How does a company survive when it's so money hungry that their employees have to endure verbal abuse and constant degrading from upper management so that sales goals are met?

When you treat your employees like ***, you get *** in return. Employees don't give 100% to their customers when they are not treated with 100%. Tire Kingdom has to be the least family oriented company I've ever seen. They don't care that their employees have families.

Sometimes with the hours my husband works he goes 3 or more days without seeing our children. Also, doesn't Tire Kingdom know that there are laws set in place about lunch hours and required breaks that they must give their employees.

Also, we've come to realize that sometimes Tire Kingdom just has it out for certain employees, my husband being one of them. He's looked for another job, is well qualified but yet has been practically black listed because of Tire Kingdom.

It's sad, very sad. I want my husband back!

You are right!!! Tire Kingdom takes everything out of you.

They have no concern for a persons family. In order to work for Tire Kingdom, you must sign your own death warrent. To add, I have never seen a company so dishonest as Tire Kingdom. In order to keep your Job, you are almost forced at all cost to make the numbers.

I have worked at 4 different stores and each store is very deceptive and constantly lies to the customer in order to make their numbers. What a sad place.

The truth is, if you work for Tire Kingdom, you may as well give up your family, kids, wife....move into the store on a fold out bed, sleep and sleep in the back room.

In the long run, buy doing this, you will put a nice fat check in your district managers pocket. You on the other hand, will get nothing

i have worked for tirekingdom for 5 years over the years i have learned they keep trying to find ways to work you harder and longer hours but at the same time pay you much less i must say out of all the jobs i have ever had this is by far the worst as far as far as the amount of time and stress that i have to put in. F%&*% Tire kingdom

Guest

I think it's interesting that "Just Curious" and "BW" claim it's not Tire Kingdom's fault. NOTHING is ever Tire Kingdom's fault according to "Just Curious" Sounds like a compamy planted appologist who trawls the complaints to deflect TK's responsibilities (they don't seem to take any responsibility for anything).
