Hurrycane Mishap--be careful. One day I was making my bed and after standing straight again accidentally stepped with my right foot onto the 3-pronged foot on the Hurrycane just as I also grabbed for it to turn away from my bed and go to the other side of the bed to finish the job.
With the "foot" of the cane anchored under my toes and the motion of pulling on the handle the Hurrycane folded and I fell bashing my head and shoulder into the oak nightstand.
Had to get a neck x-ray and CT scan and back to the original one piece cane with one disc of a foot.
This mishap could have resulted in a bigger injury than the bruises inflicted falling on the cane and hitting my my shoulder and head. I am due for a hip replacement in 2 weeks.
My suggestion is to use a solid cane not one that separates and a walker of one type or another.
