College Board is a non-for-profit organization which helps to prepare for a transition to college through programs and services. It was founded by representatives of universities and high school preparatory academies in December 1899. The headquarters is based in New York City, United States. The organization helps students with disabilities to choose accommodations and take tests. College Board also serves the education community through research and advocacy on behalf of students, educators and schools. It works with the following programs: SAT, PSAT 10, SpringBoard, Access, and many others. The organization offers tools and resources to students and parents regarding recruitment, financial aid, retention, college planning, and admission.
