My name is JP and when I got home today I found out from my wife that the Terminix tech had just left my house to treat it after I specifically called Terminix on Monday 7-29-2013 to reschedule my appointment to 8-13-2013 between 12-2pm. The reason why I am so upset and writing this email is because I have 2 elderly dogs that are 14 years old and have 2 dog beds and 1 plug in heated bed that cost me over $80.00 under my carport in the backyard. When my wife told me he had just left, I immediately went to the carport to find ALL THREE of my dogโ€™s beds to be completely saturated with the chemicals and poisons that you guys use. In past visits, the Tech always new to NOT spray anywhere near my dogโ€™s beds which I would personally remove from my carport and bring them inside until all of the poison was dried.

So, now I find myself throwing away ALL THREE dog beds since they are contaminated and ruined, not to mention, extremely upset that your tech sprayed chemicals and poison all over 3 dog beds. I wouldnโ€™t think that its policy that Terminix sprays their poisonous chemicals all over their customerโ€™s pets bedding but maybe I am wrong..

Therefore, I immediately called Terminix to make them aware of the situation and that I wanted to cancel my service immediately as well as NOT be charged the reckless and incompetent service that was administered at my house today. Upon calling Terminix 205-655-**** a woman answered and transferred me to a guy by the name of JASON. After explaining Jason the situation all he said was that my account was cancelled so I asked him to email me a confirmation that 1.) My account was cancelled effective immediately and 2.) My credit card would NOT be charged for todayโ€™s service considering the reckless disregard to my pets as well as the blatant disregard to me for rescheduling my service for 8-13-2013, yesterday..

Upon requesting these two reasonable requests Jason said that he would NOT do that. I then asked Jason 3 times in a row to speak to his supervisor which he refused each time and upon asking a 4th time Jason hung up on me.

After that happened I called Terminix back which Lynn answered and said there was no way of knowing Jasonโ€™s supervisor since he was in a call center. I then told Lynn that surely his name and ID number or rep number was in the notes. She gave me the Terminix Executive Services number at 1-80*-243-**** which I called and the gentleman gave me an email address to email to terminixcares@***.com

I am appalled that Terminix would employ an individual with such poor customer service qualifications and am very disappointed in the response that I have received thus far. An email address really doesnโ€™t cut it for me but since it is all that was given to me I am really hoping that someone at Terminix โ€œactually caresโ€ about their customers and make JASONโ€™s POOR performance at his job noticed to the powers that be.

Because of this lack of customer respect and service I have no option to terminate and NEVER return as a Terminix customer as well as let my family and everyone I know how I was treated and more importantly what type of reckless endangerment Terminix policies are as far as spraying down their customerโ€™s PET BEDDING with lethal chemicals and poisons. Shame on me for EVER hiring Terminix as my pest control service and SHAME on TERMINIX for their Incompetent Policies, Reckless Technicians, and EXTREMELY RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS by the name of JASON!!!

While my pets and I are staying at a friends house, we got a visit from terminix. I had my pets water bowls on the porch, along with a stray cats food bowl and hanging humming bird feeders.

The man from terminix sprayed them all. I was totally horrified. I felt as though it was extremely irresponsible and ignorant. Of course i immediately washed them all.

I am anti terminix...but since its not my house i couldn't stop them. When I inquired with the worker about the safety of my dogs and cat coming in contact with the chemicals he told me that it was safe and that what I use to clean the inside of my house was more dangerous. I don't think Murphy's oil soap is more dangerous than pesticides. I felt it was unhonest and ignorant for a company to say.

I could not get over the fact that they sprayed food and water sources for animals. Extremely irresponsible and very dangerous.

Don't expect them to "actually care" anytime soon. I worked for Terminix for many years and have recently resigned.

Management doesn't care about anything but driving up revenue. They don't care about their customers and they care about their employees even less. They'll send unqualified technicians to do a job that they charged you top dollar for. They just replaced me with a guy who has no experience, no training and no license.

And Ali, don't listen to anyone who tells you that you're not special enough to request first appointment. I always accommodated my customers and scheduled everyone else around people with special needs.

People with special time constraints represent less than 5% of the customer base. It's very easy to work around them if the servicing branch "actually cares."

Ali, do you really think the chemicals go from the supplier and straight to your tech's truck as a finished solution? Do you really think he goes to the shop daily to pick up 50 gallons of pesticides?

The answer is NO. He mixes a concentrate with water to make the finished product. If not, your $125 would barely pay for the shipping cost of liquid. And whether it's 70 degrees or 50 degrees outside, the spray will dry within 15 minutes even in the shade.

Also, you are not special enough to be requesting the first appointment of the day. You are no more important than any other customer so stop making special requests.

I bet you don't even tip. An uneducated customer is always the worst customer.

That stuff DOES NOT DRY IN 15 minutes!!!!!!! My sink and floor were wet for 2 friggin' days!!!!!

We requested pet safe insecticide and it better be because my mother left the bathroom door open and didn't pick up the food. She went back to the house.

But if my cats get sick or god forbid die. I WILL be getting a lawyer.

People need to read these reviews! I used terminix for years but I needed to be home when they came and wAnted first appointment in morning!

I have had to complain this past year for tech coming without appointment and asking for water to fi his tank. They are not supposed to water down their product and manager said they leave everyday with enough chemic to last. They claim they spray when your not home and leave bill for $125 in your door! Today it happened again after repeatedly requesting appointment ahead of time!

There were no residual signs of chemical left around door and foundation- when I called to complain manager in wp ny told me it was 90 degrees outside and it must have evaporated! It was only 70 and still I should have seen something- I told them to come out and inspect- they ignored me- they even said they didn't have to do inside of house cause outside was done! I canceled my service with them!

They could care less- so much for a national company! Folks- read the complaints and really beware!

Your tech was told to do your service for 1 and1 reason only money the have to get all there stops done on there route or his commission goes down,these managers force them to get the stops done EVEN if you reschedule you see I am also a terminix service tech so I speak the truth except to my customers but that's how I was trained,we get rescheduled like yours all the time worst days are 29_30th of month you fall into next month not good for our pay,do not be hard on the message but fault the Messenger! These tech bust there balls for these unethical 6 sigma *** and they screw us like you!Find a small reliable HONEST co. Sorry about your dog beds he knows better probably a Greenie lot of that there worst trained people in industry watch Videos for 2 weeks give you a spray tank oops!
