On April 28, 2015, I got gas at the SUNOCO at 171 Garden State Parkway Mp 171, Montvale NJ. I got a receipt for my transaction.

On April 30, 2015, 2 charges from SUNOCO showed up on my bank statement. Both charges were dated April 28, 2015 and were posted at 9:09pm. I called the station. The attendant who answered the phone was quite rude.

He actually laughed and told me that the pumps are not set up to do that. He did finally take my name, my phone number, and the last four numbers of my debit card and said he would get back to me. I waited a week and called again. At that time I was told to take the matter up with my bank.

I went to my bank, filed all of the necessary paper work and waited. Today, July 17, 2015, I was notified by my bank that SUNOCO will not honor this claim. All SUNOCO had to do was prove that gas had been pumped. So much for customer service.

When I got the gas, I did notice that the customer in front of me paid cash.

I believe the attendant pocketed the cash, and ran my card to pay for that customerโ€™s gas, then ran my card a second time. You can be assured that I will gas up before I reach this station on future trips through New Jersey; and I will be avoiding all SUNOCO stations from here on out.
