My son wanted blue hair for the summer so I bought midnight indigo. When we wanted it out it got absolutely everywhere in the shower and stained everything!!

It even turned his whole body blue from it running out of his hair!!!! My hands are blue his legs and feet are blue the shower walls floor and curtain are blue and my bathroom floor is blue.

It also dyed his scalp a super dark blue and I can't get any of it off of anything no matter what i try. This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!

Reason of review: Bad quality.

I used gloves as it said while applying the dye with no issues. Iโ€™ve NEVER, (in 20 years of dying my hair) even with professional permanent dyes like Pravana or Ion Vivids, had to use gloves for the rinse.

I hopped in the shower as I normally would to rinse (with cold water as stated) and condition (with the provided conditioner) and now my hands are SOLID BLUE! The insides of my ears.... blue. I have blue streaks all down my face, neck, chest, my body, and my feet are totally blue from the puddle in the shower.

My entire shower is BLUE!

In addition to now having to go to a doctors appointment tomorrow looking like a zombie smurf, I get to celebrate my 36th bday looking like a smurf that sat in the sun and melted the instructions should have warned to use gloves to rinse, although the entire rest of my flippin body would still be BLUE! This is absolutely ridiculous!!!!

I used Splat semi permanent for the first time and wish I never did! I have dyed my hair many times and never had my whole back side dyed too!

If I wore my hair down it would bleed all over my neck! I used anti dandruff shampoo with baking soda to get the dye out of my hair. Still working on getting it off my shower and bathtub! I will never buy this again!

Lesson learned! Rubbing alcohol helps get it off skin!

I had to use 99% rubbing alcohol to get it off. Worse product Iโ€™ve ever used.

Same with my daughters. I feel so bad now for using this awful dye on them.

I hope it washes out soon! That should be labeled on the box though about the staining of the scalp as a warning! It doesn't come off and it looks so ugly.

They have dark patches all over their heads. I'm so disappointed.

Baking soda and blue dawn dish soap together as a paste it will come right off skin and tub and floors. I had a horrible experience with splat the other day dye isnโ€™t the dye color in box. I always well is still having my hair bleed so I keep that stuff on hand

How was I messy? It didn't get anywhere until I rinsed it out in the shower and it turned the whole shower blue. There's no way to avoid that unless I took him out and rinsed it with the hose.

Lady, that happens with literally every semi-perm fantasy color dye. What did you expected? Smh.

Considering how many people seem to be having this issue, and the fact that Nearly everyone States that they followed the directions and did NOT have BODY, FACE, and FOOT stain issues until they rinsed means that itโ€™s not user error. And semi-permanent โ€œfantasyโ€ colors do NOT do this.

I used semi-permanent โ€œfantasy colorโ€ (which are actually referred to as โ€˜vividsโ€™) on my hair from the time I was 20 up until about age 30 (and have been using semi-perm on my 4 daughters for a solid 8 years) when I switched to PERMANENT vivids. I have never in the last 6 years of permanent vivids (ranging from Ion purchased from Sallyโ€™s to salon quality brands like Joico and Pravana) has this happen!

I used gloves but when I get in the shower to rinse the janky gloves they provided DIDNT cover my face, neck, chest, rear end or my feet which are now solid *** blue. Step off that high horse and walk back under your bridge troll.

This week on things that never happened...blue skin for a YEAR

It has warnings right on the package that it will stain whatever it touches. Not their fault you can't read, and wtf do you expect, it's DYE!

Are you retarded? Ive used dye for years and it has never dyed anything but my hair.

And if it got on my face it wiped right off with baby wipes.

This stuff PERMANENTLY stained my shower and it took 3 months to completely come off my kids scalp. THAT is not normal and is very much the companies fault.

Everyone complains about dye that fades too easily. Its a fantastic product and your problem is that you didn't read the disclaimer on the box.

You could've washed it out in a metal sink and then used bleach to clean the sink afterwards. I laid a big trash bag in the sink and put a large hole in the bag right over the drain.

Don't blame a great product for being more than you paid for and don't blame the company. Just read the box.

I read the box just fine. There are no warnings saying it will dye your skin for almost a year.

It's a terrible product his hair faded before his scalp did.

Why do you care what I'm posting about my experience anyway? Are you trying to say everyone on the planet has to have the same experience you did or they did something wrong?

Guest

I used this product last night and had the same issue. I cant find a number to complain.

For my tub I had to use bleach and magic erasers. It worked but I fear my tub will be blue every time I wash my hair...
