BEWARE SimpliSafe lacks INTEGRITY: i signed up for SimpliSafe 2 weeks ago and the relationship is already off to a rocky start! 1) The $99 camera offered is for indoor use only and does not have night vision.

The app will only capture real-time UNLESS you pay an additional $5 /month to collect a 30 day history. 2) The monitoring charge was quoted /month as follows: $14.99 + $5 Phone App charge + $5 for the real-time camera + $5 to collect 30 day camera history. TOTAL = $29.99. Since I am returning the WORTHLESS camera the monthly charge is $24.99 REGARDLESS.

Per SimpliSafe either my initial SimpliSafe Sales Associate miscommunicated the monthly monitoring charge OR he was "ill informed"! I call it MISREPRESENTATION or in legal terms 'BAIT AND SWITCH'. 3) I hope their monitoring service is far better than their customer support via 1-88*-957-****. WHY you ask ...

Called on Saturday, Jan 14 & was on hold for 20 minutes. Took advantage of 'Call Back' option and left a voice mail. SimpliSafe returned the phone call approximately 18 hours later on Sunday, Jan 15 while we were away.

Tried again on Monday, Jan 16 and was on hold for 15 minutes before speaking to a human being. GET WHAT THEY TELL YOU IN WRITING โ€ฆ

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Monetary Loss: $600.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

SimpliSafe Cons: Bait and switch quotes from actual.
