*** POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Bought a pair a couple weeks ago in Destin and they didn't fit well, just a little too small.

Tried to exchange them tonight and told there was no way without a receipt. All I wanted was to exchange, but clerk kept parroting "policy" says you have to have receipt. I asked her if it was obvious they came from this store, all I wanted was a pair that fit, but NO WAY WITHOUT A RECEIPT. Well, I don't have receipt and it's obvious the shoes came from this store, but there NO EXCEPTIONS!!

So I now own a pair of shoes that don't fit and no way to return or exchange them. That is *** POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! In this day and time where customer service and liberal return policies are expected, this is totally unacceptable.

I will scream to everyone who can hear me to avoid Shoe Dept. SHOE DEPT SUCKS!!!

Monetary Loss: $30.

Location: Destin, Florida

I was at a shoe dept store. They had a table that stated half off the lowest price if it had a red.

The table had Reeboks. I found a white pair with white stripe and a white pair with holographic stripe. Both pair had red dot. I get to the register the holographic striped ones rang up regular price.

I asked why and the cashier stated they did know so he called manager to override the price. The manager stated that they were not on sale because they just came in. I said she needed to honor the price because they made the mistake. She told me she couldn't override the price.

(I have worked retail many years and have never seen a store manager not honor a price that they marked.) I told her she had to she told me no. I said call your corporate office she said I had to. Ok no problem she thought I was leaving. I called in the store.

The corporate rep asked to speak to the manager. She told manager to call her district that the customer shouldn't have had to call them. When she called the district she said I was trying to get a discount on a pair of shoes that was in the wrong place. She wasn't going to tell her that they were marked down.

I yelled out tell her they were marked half off. Guess what, she had to honor the price.

She could have saved herself embarrassment if she would have done it in the first place. Shoe dept if your store managers don't have ability to provide customer service you don't need them.

Keep your receipt next time idiot. Not the stores fault you are extremely irresponsible and can't come up with a single piece of paper.

I believe they should have exchanged for size. You were not asking for money back. I have had them not give me my receipt before and I almost left without it.

Sometimes you just mis place the receipt. She wasn't wanting money.

She just wanted to swap. She shouldn't had to go through all that.

Exactly!!

Why not just keep the receipt, I mean that's the proof that you purchased them. That's the EXACT reason why they give you a receipt. I'm a manager at a retail store that returns a product with or without but that shouldn't be the expectation of all retail stores and it's really unfair to bash a store just because it's not their policy.

Have you ever lost anything? Everyone is entitled to their opinion of a policy or whatever and youโ€™re entitled to not give a f$&@...

but God isnโ€™t on here so why judge someone simply because they may have misplaced or lost a receipt and doesnโ€™t like a policy...

itโ€™s never unfair to exercise the 1st amendment even if itโ€™s policy related.. policies change within organizations every day and some companies have better policies than others...

Purchased a pair of boots less than two weeks ago and I absolutely hate them. Never wore them, brand spanking new and I canโ€™t get my money back because I donโ€™t have my receipt.

I will never take my money in shoe dept again. I advise anyone not to shop there unless you definitely wonโ€™t be returning anything.

Some people who commented on here you cannot go In Any store where something for a week and decide you donโ€™t like it anymore and return them! Try to Go to a grocery store buy something and return some of it cause you donโ€™t like it!

I donโ€™t think so, donโ€™t where it at all then Itโ€™s ok to return it. Not after you wore it for a week and decide they hurt your feet!

You have to have the receipt to scan the exchange and go through the system first of all. Second, you know that saying, "The customer is always right.

" Is a very old saying from back in the day where people were nice and didn't just expect things like spoiled brats.

You also sounded like you got smart with the cashier when you said, "isn't it obvious it came from this store and blah.." She just works there and no it isn't obvious they came from that store sense that store has its own store number which would be on your receipt. Get the *** over yourself and know that it's your fault for not keeping your receipt in the first place.

I had exact same experience. Unacceptable customer service. Go to shoe carnival

Your joking right your fat foot stretchs out a boot after a week and you had the nerve to ask for a refund I would have Al Bundy your ***

Guest

It's really not the store's fault, the employees are just doing what they are supposed to. Most stores require you to have a receipt anyway.

Just sell the shoes or something. Next time you know to always keep your receipt.

Well what if they're a gift and you don't have the reciept. Can't get your money can't get a different size or different shoe *** policy. Policy won't change if people don't say anything.

Guest

Well, sorry! Your *** should have kept the receipt, smh!
