Today the light bulb was replaced in the storage unit, just in the nick of time. We are grateful that the move can now go forward in a lite area for safety sake as well as ease of loading.
Thank you Walkersville, Self Storage Plus for making it happen especially Manager Petra Chandler and other's who assisted. We do appreciate it..

We rented unit 1787 in the Walkersville, MD Self Storage Plus facility on September 4, 2022. At that time the only light bulb in the climate controlled unit 10x30 was not working.
This was noted with the manager Petra Chandler at the time of the signing of the contract. She said it is a high ceiling and will be hard to do but she will work on it. We were not going to move our belongings into the unit until September 26, which we told Petra. We assumed there was plenty of time for a light bulb to be changed out.
We followed up for several weeks in a row waiting for this "light bulb" to be changed. We always received the same answer. Last week on Thursday, September 15, 2022 I requested to talk to a supervisor. At that point Petra contacted someone above her and requested the light bulb to be changed.
We came in that same day, gave our key to the unit lock to Petra, signed a waiver hoping this would solve the problem. . Today it is September 22 and the light is still not working.
We are moving into the unit on Monday, September 26th and it would be nice if the movers could see to stack the boxes rather than be in the dark... who can help us out???
User's recommendation: Look at the unit carefully before renting and follow up doggedly on issues once you do.
Preferred solution: Get the light bulb changed before we move it....... .
Self Storage Plus Pros: Good location for our purpose.
Self Storage Plus Cons: Surprised as how hard it is to get a simple light bulb changed.
