I am a hard working red blooded american with a family of 4. I was so proud along with my wife and 2 daughters to have purchased our first home. It took us 10 years to save up for the cost of this wonderful home. We worked very hard at keeping a good credit score so that we could get the right home for the right money.

We signed the papers for our home on July 3rd, 2009. What a way to celebrate our independence!! We were now the proud owners of our first home. Just over a year later, our youngest daughter became ill. After months of doctors and test, we learned that our 11 year old daughter had a form of Cystic Fibrosis. My wife had to quit her job after a few months because of all the medical needs we were faced with. This took a toll on us financially. At this point, our home loan was in the hands of Bank of america. So seeing how the medical costs were affecting us, I contacted Bank of America and told them our situation. And how I streamlined our finances to accommodate the needs over the wants. But yet within 6 months we would not be able to make our current loan payment. The response I received was puzzling. I was told by not one; but 5 different loan officers and managers that we had to be late 60 days on our mortgage before they could help us. Being our first home, I was and still in some ways are naive to all this. I sought advice from an attorney I new regarding this. He said we should do whatever it takes to stay on the payments. But numbers dont lie. I took on more overtime at work to try and help offset the medical cost so we could continue our mortgage payments. But by February 2011, we could not make the full payments. It was a choice between medications and medical equipment for our daughter , or the mortgage payment. We would even buy food specifically for our ill daughter and the rest of us would eat little or nothing at times. And we gladly did it. We are a strong family despite our many medical issues. I called BoA every month to tell them our situation and asked for help. And on day 61, I got a call from them. And on that same day we received a letter in the mail saying we were in default of our loan and foreclosure proceedings were to begin. I asked for help and said again that we all saw this coming. What will you do to help us?

We were put through this long process to "modify" our loan. I would send payments to them and they would send them back. My online account was closed as well. After the modification was approved, the payment for our home went down a whole $27. I said thats not going to help! but I was able to save the extra money waiting for the modification to go through. so I agreed to make the 3 month trial payments. This was now 2013. So I sent the first payment to BoA. One week later I get a call from Carrington Mortgage (Christiana Trust). The claimed to be the new sever of our loan and that we were in default of the loan. I explained we had just made our 1st payment in the 3 months of trial payments. they said they had no modification on file for us. I went back and forth for 4 months with them. Still sending my AFT payments to some place in Phoenix Az. We were served letters of intent to accelerate. 6 months later our loan is now in the hands of Selene Finance... Who also had no idea that we were in the middle of a modification. And began Harassing me with calls all week long. sometimes 3 or 4 a day. I was even getting in trouble at work because they would call my job.

My wife and I decided at this point , june 2015 to hire a lawyer to help us. 2600.00 later, our attorneys recommended we file chapter 13. our mortgage started at 1390.00 went down to 1363.00... then after filing chapter 13.... almost 2600.00. I still have the same job, with the same situation at home medically. I have never been so humiliated in my life. literally as I am typing this, my family is packing. Our children are now older and understand whats happening. We are a tough and tight family like I said. We will bounce back. I wish no Ill will on anyone for any reason. But I cannot hold back the tears knowing that I live in a country where Hard Working, Tax paying AMERICANS loose everything with no help. Dreams are crushed by these money hungry machines. Shame on anyone or any financial institution that would prey on people like us.

My family is the driving force for why I strive to better myself and to succeed. Not Selene , or any other bank out there. I am not perfect. I have enough flaws in my own life that I dont have time to worry about anyone elses life. But I am sharing this story in hopes that someone will read it and know they are not alone. I pray that the same charity that was shown to my family would be given to those that did this to us. I close with this...

It is ironic that we will start moving to a rental home on july 3rd 2016... I am really going to miss this home...

God Bless America. God Bless us each and every one according to your ways.

I will pray for these vultures to be shown mercy and grace.

So sorry but they do not deserve mercy and grace...and they are headed to the lake of fire for all eternity...they are not repentent they are criminals on steroids raping, pillaging and destroying our country. They make people homeless and destroy their credit and good name.

They ruin lives.

How many have suicided as a result of these wicked monsters? No I pray that the wrath of God strikes them down, and they are held accountable.
