Select Portfolio Servicing - Extra Lump Sum not Applied to Principal
I made a lump sum payment in the amount of 25k on 1/4. On 1/5 it showed that my princapal had only dropped by 7k so immediately I called to see what the deal was.
They said that whoever took the money applied it to things other than the principal. To what? I have no fing clue, but I told them to apply it to the principal immediately and fix the problem. They said it would take 24 to 48 hours to show up.
It is now 1/10 and the principal still hasn't been reduced by 25k, meanwhile daily interest charges are accruing. I called today, spoke to Marsela, and she gave me the same spill about how their cashier had put in the notes that it would take 24 hours for the principal balance to be reduced, the same thing that another customer service rep, Terina Robinson, told me the day prior. My question is why isn't the principal immediately being paid down once the check clears?
My check is showing it has cleared my bank, so why hasn't my principal gone down? Bunch of lowlife crooks

I am now dealing with them, out mortgage was just sold to them. We are paid ahead on our loan, but I sent in (by check), because they won't let me to it online or ach payment.
They still haven't applied any of the payment to the loan in 2 weeks, talking to a rep on the phone, get you nowhere.
It says online they received the payment, but on the phone, they don't have the paperwork from the past owner of the mortgage (HSBC). ***, they would have gotten all that paperwork when the loan was bought by them LIES LIES LIES.
Yes, they are. Please file a complaint with consumer finance.gov. immediately!
