I have been a consultant for Scentsy for a few months now, and just wanted to throw this out there for a few people posting the same types of problems: that the products are expensive, or as a consultant they didn't make money. First, this is a pyramid company.

You can tell from the triangle shape of recruitment they give to anyone at orientation. That is how they make their money, so if you are not into giving your money to the higher ups, be employed elsewhere. As a Certified Consultant, I found that if I didn't sell aggressively, and keep up with customers to re-up their stock, I would not be making money AT ALL. I am an easy-going person, and therefore knew I wouldn't be getting free trips to anywhere or quitting my day job.

Second, the product is expensive, but that because they are trying to make a profit. I swear by that laundry line (I also have two boys so the fragrance helps my house NOT smell like a locker room). I have 7 warmers, and with 2-3 pieces of wax per, my whole house smells awesome within minutes and lasts. Maybe for a few days, and then I'll change it out, or add 1 more piece to each.

For the consumers saying it too expensive: its a luxury item. I swear the product is great, but if you want more bang for your buck, you should consider elsewhere. As for crummy service, that's an individual experience. Lots of consultants really do have a passion for this, and I sympathize for you and hope you find someone who puts value into your business.

For the potential/ex consultants: Don't quit your day job. I'm okay with a pyramid scheme because I very much like the products and my recruiters are friends, and I'm okay with my work going to someone I know and care about (she needs this waaaay more than I do). If anything consider your job as more of a discount on the products. Buy what you would normally buy and you get money back at the end of the month.

That's pretty much a sale in itself. Anything extra from other people is even more sale for you. Otherwise, start recruiting people and hound away at people if you want to make some profit. Hope this helps anyone put stuff into perspective.

I just know I would buy this stuff with or without incentive, so it only stands to reason, I make a little money off of it, but it really is a little money. That's it, have a great day everyone!

Reason of review: great stuff, but be honest, its a pyramid.

Scentsy Pros: Products.

Scentsy Cons: Business model.
