About
Rimadyl is a 24-hour, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug NSAID. It is intended for pets and may be prescribed by veterinarians to treat the pain associated with arthritis, or to help control pain after soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Rimadyl comes in easy-to-use caplets or tasty chewables, as well as an injection is possible. Over 16 million dogs have been treated with Rimadyl, making it the first prescribed canine NSAID in the world. Rimadyl is available in 25 mg, 75 mg, and 100 mg chewable tablets or caplets. The dosage is dependent upon dog's body weight and can be administered either once or twice a day. Rimadyl is also available as a 50 mg/mL solution for injection.
