The designer came out, and all things considered was a very sweet woman, to do an in-home estimate. We went straight to the bathroom to measure, where she started showing us samples of materials.
We had a good idea of the look we wanted, so this went fairly quickly. We went to sit at the table and discuss "the real selection process". This is where she finally brought up what our budget was. Now, this is a small bathroom, and we were planning on just replacing things in the existing position, so no major construction or plumbing involved.
We said we wanted to keep everything below $8k, and based on what we had looked at for materials prices, we thought was reasonable. She tried not to laugh, and told us that no one does a bathroom remodel for less than $20k.
At which point I kindly asked her to leave. What is Home Depot thinking sending working class people to a place like this.
ReBath Pros: No problem scheduling an estimate.
ReBath Cons: Ridiculously high price quote without any details.
