Okay folks, here lies an honest-to-God, from the heart, hand on the Bible, truthful account of my experience with the Preview Models company:

It was nerve-wracking and scary, and I was very skeptical for a long time. I was open and honest to Josh Weinstein and the other coordinators about my concerns. There is a very real possibility of you coming across scamming companies. It is a legitimate fear; I empathize greatly. But this is not one of those times. This is a very kind, understanding, fun group of people to get to know. I can't tell you how many questions I emailed the adviser. She really helped and answered everything patiently. I was worried about the trip, even after I paid everything. "Will it be worth it? Will I go anywhere in the modeling industry?" The thing is, YOU DON'T KNOW. It's a risk. But nobody can take away something you've learned. Yes, it is costly. But they do provide everything that is laid out in the contract. (And more, in my opinion.)

***My name is Gwyneth Mayer. I am nearly 19 years old. I am not afraid to put my name out there because I have not lied about a thing. This was one of the best things I've done in my young adult life.***

What some people need to realize is that this is a business and those people need to make money. They also have to pay for venue, photographers, performers, (the hotel cost is significantly lower than normal,) shirts, designers, etc. And to start modeling is expensive, time-consuming, and a lot of hard work. It's not like on television; you don't just magically get whisked away to become a super model. You might not even have what it takes, but that's okay. Work harder or find something else. Don't blame this company for giving you an opportunity for exposure, and you not succeeding (exposure is, in fact, one of the hardest things to get as a new model.)

I only received one callback from a talent agency. A very REAL agency. But that doesn't mean I'm not good enough. LA is not the only place that houses agencies. And not even all of the agencies showed up to the callbacks. I hold nothing to this company for only getting the one. They give you tools to use, but you must utilize them. This industry is harsh. I witnessed a girl being told that she shouldn't be there, one agent interrupted me from answering his question just to say bye, and I got about 3 conflicting opinions on my body type. BUT IT IS NOT THE COMPANY'S FAULT. Agents can be ***. It sucks, but it's part of this work.

On a different note, I highly recommend getting roommates in your hotel if you choose to do this. It cuts down on costs and I have made lifelong friends from multiple states. Every day was an adventure. Yes, Los Angeles is a little pricey but it really seemed worth it. I'm not one that goes out much, so this was a blast. I funded myself. It was honestly difficult because I'm not loaded, but memories like these are priceless. And nobody can better understand your experience more than people that were there by your side. I have talked to these girls every day since I left. And we discuss our progress and feelings about the work we'll continue to do.

There was every age, body type, hair color and ethnicity of model you could imagine. Tattoos, scars, disabilities, quirks....just normal, wonderful, beautiful people. We were all treated equally and professionally. The workshops we did helped me tremendously. An actual, successful talent agent taught the acting class. Our model training was taught by a former America's Next Top Model. And the photographer was legitimate and very professional. Extremely nice woman and very talented.

Don't be bitter and slandering a good company just because you had a bad experience, didn't get a callback, whatever. It really irks me to hear them being libeled like that. If you are that skeptical, DON'T DO IT. I had a close friend pass audition and interview, but decline for other opportunities. She now has an internship with MAC. Maybe this wasn't for you. That is okay. But MOVE THE *** ON.

I really hope that if you're here as a prospective model with this company, that you decide it's worth it. I wish you the best of luck. It gave me a huge confidence boost. It was surreal to be on stage with the performers and be in incredible clothes, hair and makeup...just feel good about myself. Seriously, fingers crossed for you.

Thank you ;*

The one thing ladies I've learned when I first started getting it I modeling at 12 yrs. was from a highly respected model #TyraBanks I met her first at New York Modeling Contracts when they came to Minnesota.

And she time me if an angency wants you, and they are a real agency they will pay for everything! Your travel, your food, everything! If their not paying then their not real. And it's a scam, if they want you and they think you need any kind of work by can see the potential in you then they will pay for your training AKA Modeling school.

If any Agnecy wants you to represent their Brand then guess what. They will pay for whatever it takes to make sure you get what you need to be the best they already see in you!

Quote: Tyra Banks!

I think I listen to her and not someone on here that must of got paid to write all that *** and she told me not to listen too!

Ladies be smart!

If their real and they see the great in you then guess what your hired and they got you all the way. That what a real Agnecy does!

And to be real get the number of any real Agnecy and give them a call your self and ask them. And they will flat out tell you.

If we want you, you will be ours and we pay to get you started!

No he other way around! The only thing you should be paying for is to go meet them the first time and for your headshots and body shots, and ladies one other thing when you got to see and real Agnecy, Wear: Fitted jeans Fitted white tee shirt Heels Hair tied back in a only tail No makeup ( maybe lipgloss

I agree. But your point is moot. Preview Models is not an agency.....?

My thoughts exactly they donโ€™t put any claims out that they are an agency.

#TyraBanks ?! That's so funny because America's Next Top Models are actually working with preview models and endorse them proudly. : )

Honestly if you tell them you don't have money the vibe will totally change and they are not nice to you or even interested at that point it has nothing to do with you even looking like you can be a model they want your money that's it they will go through great lengths to convince you they are legit like hiring someone who is famous to pretend they are apart of there company when they really are NOT To fool us

Taquita Nwz

FAKE I bet this person works with that so called Agency did they tell you they will pay u bounce if u get on here and write this BS of lies haha

You can look me up on Instagram or Facebook. Whatever you want.

Message me there. I will give my name...I have no problem. And if I had gotten paid to do this, I would've written a better review. I have been messaged multiple times by girls and guys interested in this group.

I say the same things and answer any questions they have. Feel free to do the same.

All I know is that it's a fake agency real ones never ask you to pay upfront and if they was looking for real models and talent they would not turn down people they choose cuz they "think" they got the looks an talent just because they can't pay real agency's make money from the business they get you into and that's how the models get paid this is such a joke

This is NOT an agency. It is a company that communicates with modeling and talent agents and offers exposure.

After the workshops, photo shoot, and runway event, you go to a meet and greet with agents that were at the show and saw you walk. Again Preview Models is a COMPANY, not an AGENCY.

Yes they pay Britany Shauran (or however you spell it) to be there, they pay all the coaches. A business has to make money.

I'm sorry that your experience didn't go well. But you're not paying for an agent. You pay to go to LA for the chance to be signed with an agency. There's workshops and photo shoots and a runway show.

Then a meet and greet with agents the next day. Preview Models selects people they think have a good personality and/or potential talent. I've seen some girls I was with go back a few times now. Even as they have other jobs in their own perspective states.

So there must be something to it.

And Karen and Dirk were in my group and now they work for the company. They were two of the sweetest people that were there as well.

it a waist of money and time that's why everyone has nothing good to say about it i don't care how sweet they are the way they crush people's dreams like that is messed up if you know you want ppl to pay all that money say it on your addition flyers don't give them all this hope then call them an say oh yea u also gave to pay 1500 or make payments like now! Waist of time even going to the addition of course they are going to be nice to you lol they getting money out of you and the girls that keep going back perfect example of girls that are easy to be scammed

Thank you for your post, it really made me feel better about my decision to try this out. I had many doubts but your answers seem more than sufficient so I'm already feeling better!

Confirmation bias. You just don't want to admit it was a waste of time.

An agent?

Teaching acting? How about going to a REPUTABLE acting school instead?

Because acting and modeling schools do not offer as much as Preview Models, and are a bigger hoax. All Preview Models does is give opportunity. If you can't make the best of it, or you don't have what it takes, that's your problem.

( I'm the author of this post)

The talent agent was there to teach us a few things and to see if we had something in us other than modeling talent. He showed us how to conduct ourselves during interviews and that helped tremendously.

Obviously I didnt seem LA modeling worthy, but I was called back for acting. The talent agency that emailed me sent a small part script and said to video myself saying the part and send it in. I decided not to because I didn't want to move to LA and I found out that I was pregnant. It just wasn't a good time for me to pursue that career.

Acting schools and modeling schools are great but very specialized and don't usually offer exposure. This is just a great way to meet people and test the waters in LA to see if it's a good fit for you.
