We placed an order for over $5000 in new appliances with Plesser's after speaking with Eugene Coughlin throughout the last week in April. During that time our local Lowe's store was also trying to win our business, but since Mr.

Coughlin consistently followed up with us and promised to do everything and more than Lowe's was offering, we decided to let good customer service win the deal, and placed our order on May 1st, 2013. Unfortunately, the moment Plesser's got the order, the good customer service ceased to exist. We were promised that the appliances would be delivered within 2-3 weeks per their company policy, but Mr. Coughlin told us that was the longest time we should expect.

He said most likely it would be here within two weeks. He also promised us the exact same delivery and partial install (everything except mounting the vent for the microwave and connecting the gas lines) that Lowe's promised. Unfortunately, we came to find out that neither the time frame nor the delivery/install were going to happen as promised. We called and finally got a hold of Mr.

Coughlin on May 12th, 2013, to ask where our appliances were. He told us that they had been received from KitchenAid and were on a truck shipping out that day. Well, it ended up shipping out the following day, which was fine, except for the fact that we were told by Mr. Coughlin, and saw on their shipping company's website, that we were to receive a phone call to schedule the date/time of delivery within 3 days after they picked it up.

This did not occur either, and it wasn't until May 22nd, 2013, 10 days later, that we finally received a call from Lauri at A&M delivery. She told us that we were scheduled between 5am-9am the following morning, May 23rd, 2013. At first I thought she had made a mistake as I had never heard of a delivery coming at 5am. I asked her if she meant between 9am-5pm and she said no, 5am-9am and explained that their trucks are very busy and we would actually be the first delivery of the day, which meant between 5am-5:30am.

Otherwise I could wait until the following week to have it delivered, but it would most likely be at the same time of the morning. I explained that this was unacceptable and I would need to call Plesser's to get this straightened out. I tried calling and leaving a voicemail for Mr. Coughlin but received no response.

I called him again two more times but he did not answer. Finally I called the main phone number and someone named Mary took my call. She told me that it was perfectly reasonable to be scheduled at 5am and that some customers are happy that they don't have to *** of work. I told her that was a ridiculous statement and after owning a company for over 14 years and receiving quite a few shipments during that time, including freight, no one had ever scheduled a delivery anywhere near that time of the morning.

It was always between 8am-12pm or 1pm-5pm. She wouldn't do anything and simply passed the buck back to the shipper. My husband and I got up at 4:30am to be ready for the delivery this morning, May 23rd, 2013. We waited and waited and no phone call or delivery ever came.

At 9:15am I was able to reach the main NY office of A&M as the Texas office wasn't answering. I was told that they didn't show a delivery scheduled for today. After a while of looking through their system they placed me on hold. While I was on hold my other phone rang and it was Lauri from the Texas A&M delivery office telling me that the truck broke down and they couldn't deliver the appliances today.

I told her that was unacceptable since we had to get up at 4:30am to be ready for this delivery. I also explained that the truck driver was supposed to call us 20-30 minutes prior to arrival and obviously had our phone number. If he broke down, why didn't he call and let us know? She didn't have an answer for that, and it was apparent that the delivery schedule was never made.

Lauri then offered to deliver between 2pm-6pm today to make us happy. When I asked why that wasn't an option when it was requested yesterday she again had no answer, just a take it or leave it attitude. We took it and called Plesser's again. I spoke to Mary who was less than helpful as usual and asked for a supervisor in customer service to call us back as we are due some sort of significant credit for everything we have gone through.

Jessica, apparently a customer service supervisor finally called us and acted as if she had no idea what was going on. After I asked her if she knew about everything she admitted she did, but refused to offer us anything but a $50 courtesy credit. We told her to refund us completely and we would do business with Lowe's as we should have done in the first place.

She told us that even though we had never received the merchandise, we would owe them a 25% restocking fee. It was at that point that we explained that we would be pursuing other options such as the BBB.

Monetary Loss: $5152.

Location: Austin, Texas

Hi I don't understand how this happened as I purchased some cooking appliances form Viking brand form plesser's but did not face any problem :) . In fact I am happy and planning to buy a oven form them!

Maybe you have posted two complaints named 10....

Anyway, I do not believe this. Maybe there are some mistakes from both of you!
