I purchased the above set, but was very disappointed to find that nearly the entire set was defective except for 3 items. There were chips, dark shadow marks in areas that weren't painted.

There were sharp burrs, places where the paint or glaze dripped down, and the eating surface of the plates and saucers were very rough. There were several breaks in the stripe painted on the plate. I've tried calling their customer service contact number several times, of which I requested to speak with the supervisor or somebody else that could assist me. I'm being told that my issue is being escalated to the next level yet I still haven't heard back from anybody.

This has been dragged out for way too long. These dishes are way too expensive for the poor quality I received.

Please help! I'm been a customer for 30 years and I deserve better.

Reason of review: Poor quality and customer service.

Preferred solution: I want a replacement .

Update to my above post: One month later, my situation still hasn't been resolved. I did, however, finally get to speak with a supervisor, but it took awhile.

He agreed to send me another 16 piece set of dishes without charging me extra in hopes of finding enough pieces to put together a single 16 piece defect-free set or service for 4 people in the French Quarter pattern. Unfortunately there seems to be a production issue of repeating defects/flaws caused from equipment, so unfortunately this didn't work out. I packed up both sets of dishes and called for a pick-up from Pfaltzgraff. I spoke with a supervisor again.

That was about a week ago. He did agree to refund my money after he received the dishes, but to date, I still haven't received any return labels for pickup. I tried to call again, but I wasn't able to get through to anyone. At this point, I want these dishes picked up so I can get my money back so I can purchase something different.

I barely have any dishes to use as my old ones have either deteriorated from age, have been broken, or are otherwise unsafe to use due to cracks and chips. I need for this to be over yesterday so I can move on.

Final update to above issue. Refund finally came through approximately 3 weeks after returning the merchandize.

From the day I purchased the above dishes, it took 3 months to get this matter resolved. Thank God it is finally over with. I had to remind Pfaltzgraff to refund my money 3 times after they had both my money and the merchandise in their possession.

Never again. I am done with these people.
