Penn Warranty has failed to honor a valid claim. Specifically, I had ball joints replaced in my vehicle. This is an item that is covered in the policy. The vehicle had the protection at the time of the repair and Penn Warranty refused to pay. I then followed the protocol to cancel the warranty and Penn Warranty refused to cancel and honor a refund. Penn Warranty's intentions are of fraud. Penn Warranty claims that they will not issue a refund because they claim that the purchase price of the vehicle included the warranty. This is completely false. I produced a copy of the purchase agreement. There is clearly a separate line item for the extended auto warranty ($2100). It is not included with the price of the vehicle.

Penn Warranty is inserting the clause "components failures which occur prior to the acceptance of the contract are not covered by this agreement" as it suits them best. Penn Warranty can't prove that the defective ball joints were indeed defective prior to the purchase of the warranty. The rattling noise that drew attention to the issue didn't occur until a couple of weeks after the car was purchased. I wouldn't have purchased the vehicle had their been defective ball joints. Regarding the contract stating" there is no credit for early termiantions." At no time was this statement disclosed at the point of sale. Nor have I signed a contract that states the clause that Penn Warranty is referring to.

When the initial call to cancel the policy was placed, I was asked to provide my request in writing. I provided the information that was requested. I was then informed that someone from the "Cancellation and Refunds Dept." would follow up with me. Why didn't Penn Warranty claim their "supposed" no credit for early termination clause at that that time? Why did Penn Warranty ask for the written correspondence? Why does Penn Warranty even a a Cancellation and Refund dept. if they don't issue refunds?

The original request for the claim was $752.72. This is the amount that the Viti Mercedes Benz charged for labor and parts. A receipt is available upon request. Penn Warranty's offer of $247.58 is just an attempt to reduce their pay out for a claim that is covered in the policy. There is lots of information on the Internet regarding the previous and pending lawsuits against Penn Warranty and the dealerships that sell their policies regarding fraud. I am another victim of their fraudulent efforts. I don't choose to do business with Penn Warranty because they have not provided the services in which I have paid up front for. I ask that Penn Warranty re-consider their position and offer a full refund of $2100.

If you want an extended warranty, DO NOT use Penn Warranty. They will rip you off the very first time you use them.

I had to fight to get my money back by calling the state attorney general's office. Penn Warranty would still not honor their warranty. They outright lied. They finally offered to give my moneyu back for what I paid for the warranty in the first place.

RIP OFF company! The owners should be in PRISON!!!

They are a bunch of shiftless crooks who will deny your claim every step of the way, forcing ypu to fight for months to get any resolution in hopes you'll either give up or accept less than the amount of repair. What a bunch of amoral, scheming weasels.

SUGGEST YOU FILE PERSONAL SUIT AT YOUR LOCAL COURT, AGAIN PENN WILL NOT SHOW AND YOU WILL WIN, IF THEY DO SHOW, YOU HAVE ALL YOU NEED IN DOCUMENTS, ALSO SUE FOR LOST TIME IF ANY, RENTAL COSTS AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN MUSTER, IE I SPENT ROUGHLY 3 HOURS ON PHONE AND GIVEN A LOT OF TIME TO FINALLY HAVE MY VEHICLE REPAIRED CORRECTLY, I SUED FOR THE COST OF CORRECT PEARTS AND NEW PARTS, ADDED IN 16 HOURS OF MY TIME AT 50.00/HR AND WON!!!!!!!!! seemed that the only way I had this done was to take the bastards to court.

I am in the same boat. I've had their warranty for 3 years, never had to use it.

The minute I have a valid claim they deny it claiming the damage was avoidable. I'm currently disputing it and have my lawyer on standby.
