Parmafey Int & Balquidder Advisors

2 of 2 Parmafey reviews

Update added by user Jul 15, 2016

It would seem that they have managed to have the other review that was on this site taken down... I am still owed a large sum of money and I know at least ten other people who are as well...

If anyone has any information on these two please let us know.

Thank you all for your comments, please keep the information coming.

Parmafey Int ( and Balquidder Advisors ( are one and the same company run by Alec Maclaren/Alex Mcgrory ( and Allan Canning.

They have a history of misleading investors and not paying there staff.

I as others are currently owed high sums of money by them, they seem to be winding up there current companies (maybe they have ripped off so many people they have burned these companies (websites below). As far as I can tell Alec Maclaren is living in Javea Spain and Allan Canning is in Glasgow. All the telephone numbers for the companies are no longer working but the websites are still up, the only number on the website that is working is the Bulgarian office number, how ever that seems to be a number to an ex-employee who said that he is very keen to talk with either Alec or Allan.

They have no license to give financial advise in Europe, Middle East or Asia. Be very careful if you have contact with either of them...

Correction to the original review of May 05 2016 which states that Parmafey Int and Balquidder Advisors are one and the same company run by Alec MacLaren/Alex McGrory and Allan Canning. Parmafey Int is only a brand name created by McGrory/Maclaren allegedly when he was in Kazakhstan working for a Moscow based Company and it is not a UK company. Balquidder Advisors Ltd is a UK Company solely owned and Directed by Allan Canning. However if any of the investors who lost money deposited their hard earned investments in part or in whole into a joint UK Bank account in the name of these two men the authorities in Scotland will be very interested. Canning could be out on a limb as an associate of McGrory/MacLaren because his sole ownership of Balquidder can be verified in the Companies House Webcheck.

My experience is that our investments were paid into Uk Barclays Bank account in the name of the investment not in the name of either man. Obviously the funds would then disappear into an off shore account . Canning and or Maclaren would then remain in touch setting out how your investments were making money. When you try to take it out they give you every excuse and refer to head office which doesn't exist. Maclaren and wife are absolute livers that cannot distinguish between reality and fiction. Sad little people that fund their and their children's lives through stolen money from us investors. At some point it will come tumbling down when maclaren oversteps his thievery and or someone sends / shows it to the children to realize that their parents are nasty *** artists.

The kids know all about his thieving! His son worked in the Glasgow office with Allan and even accompanied Alec at least once to the Middle East...

His Son if he did really work with Allan Canning in the Glasgow Office he would know about Deta Green Technologies which in 12 days time if the company does not rectify the illegalities like not having a real person as a Director and registering the wrong address. No surprises and Alec MacLaren has been an expert in dissolving Companies and other people's money.

You mean Michael "Mikey" Maclaren? Then yes his LinkedIn profile says he is a client manager for Parmaserv/Parmafey/Balquidder and Deta Funds as all of these companies are owed by Maclaren/Canning, despite what they tell clients!

Mikey MacLaren has allegedly joined the firm and could this be the same kid who came down to the Scottish Agricultural College in Ayr to watch his Dad play Rugby? He seemed to be too nice a boy to be heading for Polmont Young Offenders.

Comments from July to December have been removed but angry investors and employees wont stop posting their stories. James Groombridge of Abana on the 10th May 2016 dismissed Balquidder's claim that it was a member. If the hard sell by Canning or MacLaren included an assurance that their companies were members then Yuan - Nee from the Authorities at Gartcosh would be interested if you have lost money investing with them.

Not surprising that the 4 pages of Alex McGrory, Allan Canning, Parmafey and Balquidder investor/employee complaints from the 22nd July up until the 5th December 2016 have vanished, but not to worry because these good people won't go away just like the authorities who took the statements from the investors and employees of Alex McGrory's Big Fish all those years ago. Their signed statements have no limit of time so watch this space.

On the 10th May 2016 James Groombridge of Abana E Mailed an investor who had queried if Balquidder Advisers and Parmafey were connected in any way to Abana. The answer was NO and the investors information about the false claim was passed on by James to Albana's compliance department. However, Allan Canning in the Balquidder website continues to quote Albana. If an investment was made on the basis of false information the Business Fraud Division of Police Scotland at Gartcosh Crime Campus Near Glasgow would be interested.

It's very interesting that Abana, similar to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), have given the big thumbs down, but the Parmafey and Balquidder websites remain active just like the signed statements of complaint from investors about Alex McGrory alias Alec Maclaren. When a complaint is made to the Authorities in the UK the investigation remains active without limit of time. Could it be that the ten years old Big Fish file is gathering dust at the Crown office waiting for funds to prosecute? Insiders are certain this is what has happened and as patient creditors we all look forward to a day in Court.

New telephone number for Balquidder that seems to be working +44 (0)141 628 9949, maybe worth all who are owed money calling them, at the very least it will annoy Alec/Alex

Alec/Alex returning to Glasgow is extremely unlikely, because he would need more than two Alsatians to protect him. His friend Allan Canning the sole owner of Balquidder Advisers Ltd the support company for Alec/Alex's Parmafey/Detafund Ponzi offerings must surely realise by now that he will be the Patsy when the McGrory/MacLaren empire collapses. How can Canning be so *** not to realise the jurisdiction of the Authorities covers his trading address in Mollinsburn Street, Glasgow and his home address in Cromrach House, Clynder, Nr Helensburgh and that any investigation outwith the UK i.e. Beniarbeig, Javea, Nr Alicante in Spain is a lot more difficult, time consuming and costly. Sadly offshore investors who have been scammed have been informed about the difficulties in investigating and prosecuting someone outside the jurisdiction of the authorities. Before it's too late now is the time for the naïve owner of Balquidder to waken up, smell the coffee and state his position and make his excuses to save his skin.

Well done by WazzedOff if this mobile number is for real and it could be that Canning and MacLaren have fallen out or it could be a decoy number. Worth a call or you may be able to contact Canning at the famous Pipeworks Male Sauna in Glasgow.

Rumours from the Action Group is debt recovery collectors with links to friends in a former Far East Colony have been hired to collect money for their Client and when they call they might have some juicy spare ribs for the two Alsatians, but that will be the extent of the carry out.

Has Mandy (the beautiful one!) left you yet? Hows the family doing in Hull? Still ripping them off too?

Beauty as they say is only skin deep, but this Woman is thick skinned just like her crooked husband and she was complicit in his early scams when she convinced a dying neighbour and a friend of the family into investing her life savings (her families inheritance) with her beloved Alec. This story was posted to the News of the World by this kind old Lady's Son and it's in the Documents Section of the Big Fish Creditors Website and also in the Link to the media exposure in this website. The "beautiful one" as the comment suggests also owned a Shell Company called Great Prints and in the lead up to it inevitably being dissolved the only remaining Directors were her darling Alec's unsuspecting Nephew and one of his employees. Both men never even knew they were Directors.

Good news and bad news and the first good news is a Stephen Farley after a four year investigation has been found guilty of running an £18 million Ponzi Scheme, similar to what was going on at Hydepark Business Centre in Glasgow with links to Spain, Zurich, Dubai and Oman. Farley who pleaded guilty is allegedly a bankrupt and he was given legal aid by the State amounting to an incredible £1.4 million, which is the highest ever on record. The bad news is it's possible that the lack of funding could be the reason the much bigger Big Fish file is gathering dust on a shelf at the authorities and waiting on funds to allow a prosecution. If so the investigation into Parmafey, Balquidder, Parmaserv and Detafund and a possible prosecution is some way off, but creditors and ex employees please, please continue to lodge your complaints to the authorities. The second good news is a complaint to the authorities remains forever which is evident from the recent murder trials. The last piece of good news is Farley will spend a long time in prison for ruining the lives of his many investors. Sounds very much like ?? and Farley might meet you know who and his friend !!
