This company is by far one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever had the displeasure of working with. The technician damaged my husband's wheelchair not once, but 3 separate times. He also would come into the house and if my husband was alone, he would have a total mean attitude with him, acting like fixing his chair was an inconvenience, making snide comments about my quadriplegic husband's use of totally legal medicinal marijuana. The last time he came he took my husband's chair outside to work on it, brought it back in the house and my husband wasn't able to see it because he was still in bed. He tossed a clipboard onto my husband's chest asking him to sign off on it. My husband was only able to see the fron part of the chair and did not know the extensive damage caused by this technician - the arm rest was now completely flimsy and lose and the screw was screwed so tight into the frame it dented it and was stripped! When he called to have someone come out and take care of it they told him he would have to wait 5 days! I then called and demanded to speak to the manager and let him know how unhappy I was and what a liability this chair was-it wasn't safe! They came back the next day only to confirm our suspicions, that a new frame assembly was needed. They then came and took his electric chair and he had to be in his manual chair for 3 days waiting- whereupon he called to follow up only to be told that they were returning his chair UNFIXED because the vendor messed up the order. Well, it has been a MONTH now and no fixed chair-

I am writing this to let this company know and all others that serve the elderly and disabled community that YOU CANNOT TREAT PEOPLE THIS WAY! A wheelchair means legs and indpendence! Maybe everyone that works there should spend a week in a rickety *** wheelchair and see how it feels to be treated the way they treat their clients.

I would give negative stars if this let me.

I will be posting updates regularly until this issue is resolved!

Hoodwonked and Interesting- the National Seating and Mobility I dealt with is based in Santa Rosa CA. I finally got the issue resolved but wound up having to talk to a VP!!

I now have his direct number and know if ANYTHING goes wrong I can contact him. They also fired the tech who was mean to my husband as he was being that way with other customers as well-the guy was really unprofessional and that is putting it lightly because I have to keep it clean... The VP said that they are doing a complete overhaul of customer service for all the branches, starting with the ones that have the most complaints. I suggest calling and asking for a manager- talk to the manager and get the name of the manager's boss-call that boss and get the name of their boss etc etc.

until you get some answers and service that you are entitled to under ADA! If a manager refuses to give you their bosses name- tell them you will go online and find it one way or another. Refuse to be bullied - you are the consumer!

Your wheelchair is an extension of you, it is your legs and your independence and no one has the right to take that away! HOODWINKED I hope you get your issues resolved- worst case scenario, contact your local Disability Rights Centerm they will help you for free!

Yes, they ae horrible. I was sold my chair here in Illinois.

When they qualified me through my insurance it came up that I would have to pay the 20% balance. Before I wowuld accept I told them in several conversations that I had no abiltiy to pay and what would happen to the balance. I asked repeated dquestions as to whether there would be interest tacked on and if I could pay as I could. There processing person who said she had never had a case where insurance did not pay in full, assured me that there would be NO interest and I could pay $5 a month.

She refused to let me talk to billing or her supervisor as I asked several times. Well after they had made their sale and the chair had been delivered about 3 months later I got a bill - a demand for payment in full. I called and now the processing person seemed very sure of herself (she wasn't before and kept checking with her supervisor), changed her story, and now my bill is being sent to an outside collection agency!! Along the way here at the end of the story the national sales manager got involved at my insistance.

She tricked me and told me there was a hardship form that if I filled it out I could get part or all of my bill paid, I sent her ALL my finances which clearly showed on my disabiltiy check I did not have the money to make large monthly payments to them. She then said oh well you don't qualify, we don't count bills like lights, rent - makes no sense!!She took the side of the processing person - the liar!!! I am very intelligent and do not appreciate being socked with a large bill for a power chair. They lied and said it would not go to collections, it would remain an open bill with them until paid no matter how long, no interest would be put on and I could pay as I could; I checked on this over and over before accepting the chair!!

So beware, they are NOT reputable. They think because I ned a power chair I can be hoodwinked - I hope something gets done.
