After two months, I lost a deal on a beautiful home .... not because I couldn't qualify for a mortgage. Qualifying was the easy part. I provided every item of data I was asked for within 24 hours. I was prequalified with in 2 weeks of my application.

The NACA loan processor was either completely incompetent, poorly trained or both. I was asked 4 times for my tax return which I submitted 4 times. A title search had to be done 3 times because to much time had passed on the original title search, the second one was lost/magically disappeared. NACA sent incomplete documents and documents with errors to the lender's closing department multiple times ... such as the wrong purchase price to the lender SEVERAL times.

I could go on and on and on and on about the mistakes and carelessness made in processing the loan. The bottom line is their incompetence ended up in a long overdrawn loan approval process. Two and half months weeks AFTER all the documents were submitted .... loan applications, credit reports, appraisals, etc.... they were still sticking paper up their noses.

The seller got frustrated and terminated the deal. NACA wasted my time and my money.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $2500.

NACA Cons: Incompetent, Did not return calls or emails, Repeatedly missed key deadlines.

Location: Marietta, Georgia

This seems to be a CASE of if it looks to good to be true theirs something WRONG. I HOPE IM WRONG.

The simple fact is that YOU are the biggest single factor in your success in the NACA program. Please DO go into the program with your eyes WIDE open.

The NACA program is not meant to be fast or easy, but the benefits are well worth every bit of effort you put forth. Nearly 40,000 families have become homeowners through the NACA program and the number literally grows every day.

By comparison, the "negatives" are a drop in the bucket, and there's a reason why.

Unfortunately, there are still far too many people who are far too concerned with finding the easiest and fastest way to do something rather than the way that will require some patience, perseverance and effort but will have a far better result in the long run.

Give your counselor your full cooperation, your patience and your determination to see the process through and you WILL become a homeowner with mortgage terms you won't get anywhere else.

Reading these post scare me.. I've contacted my processor 3 times and told her that we had our funds and ready to submit for qualification.

Her response was "ok" --I emailed her back and said how do I know that we have been submitted for qualification and I simply received an email that said check your webfile.. I'm still confused if we have been submitted.
