I have been getting my 5% Lidocaine patches, made by Qualitest; from Rite Aid Pharmacy for years. The other day I received my new supply of patches they were made by MYLAN. These patches are absolute junk!

They are made of this thin plastic film, which with my RA is so aggravating to separate/ As they are cut squares of plastic, there is no edge to grab, you need to try to separate them, which is hard to say the lest. Once you do separate, then you need to stick it to your body. If they had made it as a BAND-AID, they would stick great. But no, they curl, peal back at the corners and eventually fall off! I have to tape them on my body, sad. The plastic is so thin, it must have cost almost a penny a sheet. As I get thirty pads a month, a thirty day supply costs $375.00. I'm sure the Qualitest patches must have cost a nickel!

What greed, and the funny things is, it's still not enough for them!

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Mylan Cons: Quality of product, User friendliness.

These patches are hard to pull apart but the most frustrating is that once one can apply it, it will on stay on for about 5 minutes. It rumples up and falls off, the glue does not hold on!

I have requested my provider to notate on the RX "Do not fill with MYLAN brand" because it was worthless, and have had to return only once because the pharmacy didn't see the notation, But they took it back and refilled it with another brand.

Total crap. Bogus junk.

They won't stick I don't care how dry your skin is. I taped them on using medical tape and they did nothing. There is no way they contain any lidocaine.

I had to change pharmacies to get back to the real Lidoderm Patches. There should be a law against selling such garbage.

I experienced the same thing when I purchased some from CVS..I never went back there again and had to hunt down decent patches. What a nightmare when you are in pain!

I have been using Lidocaine Patches from PAR Pharmaceutical for years. Now I'm getting Mylan.

They're horrible. I sweat at my job. The Mylan patch slides off within 15 minutes of getting to work.

Even when I try to use them at night-time when I'm sleeping, I still wake with this ball of patch stuck to my pajamas. These are not generic for anything.

I totally agree, they are the worst lidocaine patch on the market; they fall off. CVS should be ashamed for trying to pass this off on their customers.

I tried two patches and went back to CVA, their attitude was "too bad" we won't take them back. I told CVS I was going to sue them in small claims court for selling a defective product because they admitted they knew there were problems with the patches.

I got the manufacturer on the phone with the CVS pharmacist and the manufacturer agreed to send me a refund. DO NOT accept any patches made by Mylan.

i have been using quiltest 5% 700 mg lidocaine patches went to renew was told 5% 140 mg patches were the same made by Mylan they are NOT. WHO ARE THE PHARMACYS TRYING TO KID!!!

I was getting Qualitest 5% lidocaine patches for quite some time for my wife from Rite Aide and when I had the prescription refilled we got patches made by Mylan. These patches would not stay on for even a half a day, they just rolled up and fell off.

We were told to use tape to hold them on which we did. The next time I had the prescription refilled I requested Quqlitest and was told that they no longer carried that brand. I called a few other pharmacy's and they didn't carry Qualitest either.

What happened?? Quqlitest is sure the best brand of the two by 100%.

I just put my first patch on and it fell off in a minute. I am a nurse and have used/ applied to patients the Lidocaine patches for years- this product is flimsy, inferior and not effective.

Guest

I had the same problem. requested pharmacy to get another brand for my next refill. Mylan brand is the worst patch, I'm surprised that more people don't reject it Better with the new brand

Ditto I even discussed with Rite Aid pharmastist manager, this is only brand they carry. I will be refilling my prescription elsewhere.

They even knew the product was inferior but said they could not replace my supply. This is travesty! So Rite Aid knowingly sold us bad product. Riteaid and Myland should be ashamed.

Not to mention the person who invented this product line.

Unfortunately most folks don't see this site until they have already purchased product. What a shame.

Oh let me add this.... the pharmacist manager suggested I use tape to put down to hold the product in place. REALLY lets get another product to assist the first product when faulty.

Yes! I agree This Mylan brand of patches are worthless!

It doesn't stick like other brands of patches. Very disappointing! and CANNOT return or exchange. There's a plastic coating on the top that makes it not pliable and cannot conform to your body.

You have to tape it on with tape to keep it on. I HATE IT...DO NOT GET THIS BRAND

Guest

I would also like add my two cents. Any pharmacy that allows themselves to distribute Myland lidocaine patches should be ashamed of themselves.

Theses are useless!!!! they don't flex they don't stick and that's even if you can get the adhesive off.

Guest

I agree, they are CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to get Qualitest lidocaine patches from Rite Aide, but Rite Aide said they can no longer special order them for me, so they gave me those new, totally unusable, stupid, really thin ones.

They don't stick, are way too thin to be placed on the body without folding into itself and are soooo cheap it ticks me off!

Have the makers of the new one even tried their own product? If they had, they'd see how USELESS they are!!!!!!!!!

Guest

same experience with this product terrible

Guest

I agree with this. They are worthless.

My Dr now puts Qualitest on the prescription, but recently says they've tried order them, but canโ€™t get them.

They can get qualitest LidoDERM (not lidocaine), but says they are $1200. Ridiculous.

Guest

Ask your pharmacist to fill only with Qualitest patches. My pharmacy has to order them, but the others are such junk, Iโ€™m willing to wait it out
