Hi Micheal's,

I was just purchased a cricut explore air from one of the micheals in Fresh Meadow. I went back to the store to return the machine after 5mins of purchase(I took the picture and have all time proof). Because I found out the box was opened when I was checking it in my car, and a few items which supposed come with it are missing. The store manger said she is not able to refund me because I opened the box. Even if I check if there is any missing thing?Even I found out you guy are selling me a used machine? A used machine with missing parts??? Now I cannot even use this used machine because alot of parts are missing. I purchase a broking machine and Micheals is not responsible for it. I spent 300 for nothing. Not able to do my project. Nothing!!! I was never think that Micheals will do that to me. My family and I shop here for over decade. And We were loyal customer to Michaels. We had always trust that Micheals will only sell and provide customer with best products and service. But today I found out that me and my family are wrong all this time. Becuase you guy are not. Cryyy.The excuse that the store manger kept giving me is this is our store policy, we have our own rule. And she is not going to responsible for that. The responsible is all mine after you guy grab my money. You guys have the worest staffs and policy ever. This is the worest worest of the worest purchase experience I ever had in my life. You guy are not admit that your selling a used machine to customer. I will never ever shop with Micheals again. It was once my favorite shop to shop with. But Not anymore. I not expecting you will take care of my situation after seeing this message. But I do want you to know how you turn a loyal customer to a never returned customer.

If you contact the manufacture of the item they should be able to refund your money and I believe you send it back to them. Let them know that things were missing ect,..

It is the policy of most of the Michaels Stores that they can not take back any cricut machine that has been opened and you need to go thru the manufacturer to do so. And if you didn't notice that the box was already opened before you purchased it, how are they to know it wasn't you that opened it after you left the store, took things out and then tried to return it? I'm not by ANY means saying your that person that would do that, so PLEASE DO NOT take it that way, but you would not believe how many ppl DO do that!! ( I work retail so I know.

It happens ALL the time) So because of those reasons and others, you need to go thru the manufacturer. I hope this may help you.

Per Return policy PRINTED on the return policy at the bottom of the web site,you click on it and this is what is written:

Exceptions to General Return Policy:

Cricutยฎ Products are returnable or exchangeable only if the packaging is unopened and a receipt is provided. Items damaged or deemed defective during the manufacturer's warranty period must be returned directly to the manufacturer, except returns as required by law.

I as a customer always review the return policies of any store I go to,then it cuts down on problems etc,you should do the same and if you buy something and if it was opened when you bought it,why would you even buy something in the first place if it was opened,especially an expensive item such as the Cricut machines? That is all on you buying something expensive and already opened,you didn't check first!
