About
Metrolink is a commuter rail system. It began operation in October 1992. The rail system serves Southern California. The owner is the Southern California Regional Rail Authority. Metrolink consists of 7 lines and 59 stations. It operates in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties. Customers can purchase one-way ticket, round-trip ticket, advance purchase ticket, 7-day pass, and monthly pass. Metrolink trains and facilities are equipped with accessible restrooms and water fountains for persons with disabilities. There is a Special Assistance Request Program with instruction about how to ride the train and make connections. Metrolink fleet consists of Tier 4 Locomotives and Hyundai Rotem Cars. The rail system provides free Metrolink’s application for mobile devices with Android and Apple operating systems.
