New ReviewerI purchased a Mastercraft 20V Max cordless blower, complete with battery and charger. The item was purchased on line last year (during the height of COVID pandemic restrictions) sight unseen.
When I got home I unpacked everything and charged the bty as per instruction and once done tested the blower's operation. All seemed good and have been looking forward to using it this fall. The battery is a 20 V max Lithium 4.0 Ah # 054-7557-*. Fully charged, as indicated by the charger and bty indicator lights) it only lasts 15-20 minutes.
It takes 2-3 hours to re-charge the bty. only to die again after 15-20 min of use. This has happened the last four times it was used. A 1 hr job has taken me over7 hrs to complete.
My understanding is that a 4.0 Ah bty should provide power for at least 3 hours.
I feel that this battery is defective and came that way from the manufacturer...or... it has been mislabeled and should indicate point 4 Ah (0.4 Ah)=20 min.
Preferred solution: A Good 4.0 Ah Battery.
