The units themselves live up to the marketing brochures. The thing they don't tell you is that the evaporator coils (these are the part of the system that converts the freon to cold air) leak after 3-5 years. This results in the system not holding a freon charge. In addition the repairs are costly. If in warranty expect $1,000 for labor. If out of warranty, meaning more than 5 years, expect $2,000 for a repair.

What makes this particularly irritating, is that Lennox refuses to fix the issue. My contractor has told me that if you replace the coil, you will likely have ether same issue 3-5 years from now. Turns out he is right, as a unit I replaced the coil on 3 years ago is now leaking.

I would stay away from any Lennox system as all furnace, air conditioner, and heat pump systems have an evaporator coil.

Reason of review: Bad quality.
