As a customer I received unprofessional service from a service advisor at Kia of Dayton. I received a call by a service advisor that I needed to replace my battery for a two-year old Kia Sorento that only had 18,561 miles.
I asked the cost and was told that it was $300+ with labor. I hesitantly said to go ahead with the service but within 20 minutes changed my mind and called back. My spouse advised me that it was too high and to have the battery taken out. (We were on speaker and the discussion was not directed at the Kia rep).
I was told that the battery was already installed and there would be additional labor costs to take it out. I said to leave it and then received a text in all caps -shouting to me- that my car was ready. I went to the dealership and questioned the text and received an attitude from the service rep who sent it. I asked for the manager and was told he was at lunch.
I requested another service rep to check me out. I was never offered an apology for the text to me.
After paying for my vehicle, it was not brought out to me, but I was told to go to the left to find it. I will not spend any more money to have my vehicle serviced in that location!
User's recommendation: Do not spend your money at the dealership or service department.
