Keystone RV - Tongue weight light
I have 300KBS Sprinter. It tows very badly, I took it and had it weighted.
The results of this effort showed there is only 8.4 % load on the tongue. Their owner manual states "10 to 15% (page 14, "weight distribution". That weighting was done with the propane full, water tank empty (it is located totally in the rear), and all holding tanks empty, heaviest possible forward loading. To me this is a design problem.
I contacted the factory and here is their response: "...we do feel it necessary to advise you that KRV doesn't assist with nor provide recommendations towards any modifications to be performed to the unit. Every unit we manufacture is built as designed, and although we do understand your concerns, we do respectfully decline any possible assistance in this matter..."
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Preferred solution: Modify the tongue weight to meet their published specifications.
Keystone RV Pros: I love my trailer, We love the trailer and floor plan.

We are having issues with our Keystone Hideout towing poorly. We plan to get it to the scales this weekend.
Your review is making me wonder if we have the same problem! What have you done to correct it? Sand bags in the front bin?!
Sell it and try another model? I'll keep you posted on our weigh-in results!
