Keystone RV - Door on microwave oven/ failure of room slide
when we did our walkthru the tech opened the door on the oven and it didn't open on it's own as designed. in the words of the tech "oh it's okay just has to break-in". While we don't use the oven that often after two yrs ( passed warranty) the door still doesn't open without added assistance. I took it in and they attempted to shimm the door. it is somewhat better but still have to assist by hand every other time it is opened. And they charged me.
after two yrs we took a trip to Utah. when we arrived we attempted to open the slip room and it only pulled one side out. I had to push the other side by hand for the rest of the 4 week journey.
when we returned i took the passport in for repair. tech said to me " ya it's usually the nut that comes off the connection to the cable". I said to him USUALLY. Maybe keystone should use a more secure method of fastening the pull cable such as nylon locking nuts so users wouldn't be stuck in the middle of nowhere and slide not function.
one more thing just had to replace both batteries after two yrs. come on two yrs? the truck i pull with has a battery that is almost five yrs old and is still in great shape.
