This is my second kuerig after years of service I retired my first. The new kuerig attract roaches.

I tried to repair this issue by dismantleing the device and sterilized the interior with hot water with no luck. I the attempted the block the water tank light with an electrical tape patch. But I havnt been able to stop the roach attraction. The is the only appliance in my kitchen with this issue.

I took the unit out of service and put it into storage. I don't have a receipt or I would take it back to the store.

I was thinking of making a claim against my Amex but I would have to track down where I bought it.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $250.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Location: Birmingham, Alabama

I have the same problem with icoffee maker. It seems to be a problem caused by having a warm reservoir of water.

Threw it all out because no box, no receipt. Going back to French Press, or maybe get a pour-over.

Well, there were several species of large aggressive birds in my Keurig when it arrived, as well as several dead crows, what appears to be a kangaroo, and AL Roker. I was shocked that customer service was unable to make them disappear immediately through remote osmosis over the phone.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

U.must have bought it at bass pro.

I have the same issue with mine. we fogged our house, cleaned everything out, took kerig out of the house and cleaned it outside thoroughly.

No roach problems.

Then, we recently decided to give it a second chance, and within a week, the problem is back. I'm going back to my coffee press.

I remove my new Keurig and put it into storage and I'm about to put it on the curb for the garbage man. The first trouble was the mandatory use of proprietary KCups but their was a work around for that.

The roach issue was a deal breaker.

I didn't have a roach problem until I powered up my new coffee maker. Now I can't get rid of them

I do blame the keurig. I've owned a keurig for 10 years with no trouble but when I upgraded to a 2.0 I began having the roach issue.

I've noticed by doing a Google search that it is a systemic problem with this device.

I dismantled and cleaned it, I then covered up all lighting and relocated it to different locations in my house but kept getting they same symptoms. I just unplugged it and put it in storage because I'm not running a roach motel

I recently talked to Keurig about this issue and his statements weren't logical.

I trouble shot the device very well as I have 30 years of experience in computer engineering and have worked on and corrected some very strang issues in the past.

I began by dismanteling and cleaning the enterior of the device with soap and water; I then covered up all lighting that may draw attention to the device; I relocated the device to different locations in my house. Within 12 hours there were German cockroaches entering the device. I then did a simple Googoe search and have discovered that this is a systemic problem with the Keurig 2.0.

While have a completely roach free house is impossible I have never seen anything like this on any other kitchen or household device.

I suspect that the coffee maker is emiting a super low frequency sound that is calling the bug. So Morron, buy a Keurig 2.0 and try this experiment in your roach free house.

Google the words "Keurig and Roaches" and you'll find that this is a very real issue. If you don't see roaches they're probably

Inside your device because they are sensitive to light.

It is as if the device emits a subsonic call to German cockroaches.

These are the only version of roaches that are attracted which is also very unusual. It implies that the device is speaking to them directly.

Have to agree. I have found German roaches within the unit and no where else in the house. Googled this problem and found that many people have the same issue.

It is possible to have a bug free house how can you say it is impossible?I own a house in fla. and I have no bugs in my keurig 2.0.Maybe it is because I do have a pest service and I do keep my house very clean. So warm climate has nothing to do with it.It is all how you keep house and if you say a bug free house is impossible that is all on you..not keurig.

I keep a very clean house. I also treat it for bugs and have never had a problem like this.

It's ONLY the Keurig.

Didn't have it before. No bugs anywhere else, not my toaster (which often has crumbs) not my oven, not my toaster oven, not my dishwasher or blender or microwave...ONLY the Keurig!

If you have a Keurig 2.0 that is fully active on your counter go pat it hard on the side and watch as German cockroaches evacuate. You'll never drink another cup of coffee from it. This experiment will only work with a 2.0.

If you have roaches in your keurig you have roaches all over your house and they are probably in your other appliances but you just havent noticed yet.Call an exterminator. You cannot blame keurig for your infestation. It is not logical.

Correct. When you see one roach, that means there are thousands in the walls. Definitely not Keurig's fault

not there before. It is a draw for the bugs.

There is something about it that brings them in.

I have lived in my home for FIVE years.... I have never had any roaches.

I purchased this model coffee machine Xmas 2017. We used it on a daily basis ... here recently I started noticing German roaches ONLY on the counter where my coffee machine stays. I immediately called a close friend that owns a exterminating company and he came opened every single appliance and sprayed the entire home.

We found no nest. I did a deep clean with vinegar and Clorox, cleared out my pantry, and any open containers. I even cleared all countertops. And week later again a few more fat roaches.

I noticed they were behind the fancy machine. I again cleaned and moved the machine to the bar washed it. I assumed they were coming from inside the oven. My buddy came a second time and sprayed kitchen.

Figured this would do the trick. Next day... roaches on bar.... Itโ€™s that dammm fancy machine.

Omg i havenโ€™t even opened it and I refuse to. Itโ€™s going in the trash

It is drawing German cockroaches into my living space. I don't know the extent of the infestation within my walls and I don't care as long as they stay within their space.

I didn't see roaches before I replaced my old Keurig with the new version. It was such a dramatic roach infestation that I had to research the reason for the change.

The only change was the coffee maker, so I did some experiments and found that when the coffee maker is on the roaches get a hard on and begin swarming to it like it is their mothership.
