On December 20, 2015 at approximately 10:20 p.m., Jeffrey W. Williams was killed when he tripped on a chair in the upstairs hallway of his home constructed by John Weiland Homes and Neighborhoods, Inc.

(you) and reached for the upstairs hand railing to steady himself and was catapulted head first to his death into the first story entryway foyer of his home. Forensic review of the accident determined that design of the hand railing and the improper installation (not following the established building code) rendered the railing ornamental decoration and a false sense of safety at best. This tragic event occurred in full view of his wife of twenty-seven (27) years and his two sons. Mr.

Williams bled out of his eyes, ears, mouth and nose. CPR and other medical attempts were futile as the traumatic injuries to his brain took his life. Enclosed herein, is a copy of an engineering report which shows that the hand railing ends were attached to the drywall by finishing nails and glue. According to the 1992 CABO standards which were in effect at the time of your construction of Mr.

Williams home, the railing should have been able to sustain a two-hundred pound load at any given point and minimally, should have been secured into a stud with something more than glue and tack nails. Although the chair that Mr. Williams tripped over received the majority of his bodys force, the improperly installed railing could not prevent Mr. Williams from being driven head first into the first floor and the railing (which remained completely intact with the separation occurring only at the two points ) served only as a vault that put him into a head first position .

It should be very clear to you from the attached report that the railing was not properly installed, and was not constructed in accordance with 1992 applicable building code. And due to statue of repose this is outside of being able to sue them.

You only have 8 years from when house was built. Hes dead and they continue building their houses.

Reason of review: Bad quality.
