JOANN Fabric - Horrible Customer Service And Rude Employee
Me my mom and my grandma went together because our sewing machine stopped working and the lady helping us was very sweet but the other lady, Linda kept signaling this lady to cut us off and that they couldn't help us. She kept giving us the death stare just because we weren't there to buy anything but to ask for help which is what they are there for.
She clearly told the other lady that she needs to end the conversation soon and make us leave because others were there ready to by something. Very very rude and extremely unprofessional she should be fired.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
JOANN Fabric Cons: Customer service.

The employees are there to sell things, not give sewing machine repair advice for free. Time and skill cost money.
My local sewing machine repair guy charges $70 just to LOOK at the machine, just like mechanics charge diagnostic fees. Joann pays horribly. I've been knitting and sewing for 20 years.
That experience is going to cost you $25/hr for a consult. If I'm working at Joann, I'm only getting paid to show you where the machines are, not teach you how to use them.
That is what the internet is for!!!! YOU were WASTING THAT EMPLOYEES TIME!!!
So of course that employees supervisor told them to cut you off. YOU AINT BUYING ANYTHING!!! The employee IN THE STORE is there to help you with your FABRIC PURCHASES and NOT to be a personal tech support for YOU!! The POLITE thing to do was to WAIT!!!!
Wait until the employee has cleared their customers THEN pick thier brain. We get it, YOU are ignorant of sewing machines. BUT THAT IS NOT THIER FAULT!!!!! Obviously YOU have access to the web so USE IT!!!
YOU have to actually have purchased something to dominate that employees time as you did. But YOU DIDNT!!! So the supervisor was correct in telling the employee to take care of the PAYING CUSTOMERS!!! And NOT waste the companies valuable payroll being YOUR person consultant.
They are there to help you with a FABRIC issue, NOT a sewing machine issue that would be best researched online or atleast speaking with someone who REPAIRS sewing machines. Or the original manufacturer.
