This should be put to rest. This was a misunderstanding.

I asked tom for forgiveness as it was mean to put this on here and it was damaging.

I believed all of this to be true at the time of posting but now know it to be a misunderstanding. As far as i am concerned this is over and done with and i am sorry for posting it.

This matter has now been taken care of and I have worked it out with Mr. Stamman

Original review posted by user Sep 10, 2011

Tom Stamman of Impact Ministries goes around to churches and gives everyone personal words from God. He also has a feed the orphans scam going.

He has given me false words from God such as to divorce my wife and all kinds of other things that werent accurate or scriptural.

He got me to invest $700 to buy land in Uganda and I was supposed to see a return on it within a year.

It has now been 5 years and no return, he will also not account for what he really did with the money. his website is at www.tstamman.com

Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin

I know the person who posted this complaint about Mr. Tom Stamman very well.

He retracted his complaint against Tom and backtracked because Tom threatened him. Stamman told him that if he didnโ€™t stop speaking out against him he would have him thrown in jail and then when Tom learned that wouldnโ€™t work he threatened to sue him. Tom went on to say that his son is a lawyer in Wisconsin and his son would work around the clock to sue this person if he didnโ€™t keep quiet and or have him thrown in prison. Because of Tomโ€™s threats he retracted his complaint about Tom being a con artist and scamming him out of a fake investment as well as Tom being a false prophet.

The truth is I have been to many of Tomโ€™s meetings, and he has told me things supposedly from God that are just plain false and told me to do things supposedly from God that I could not do. I could not do it because there were rules in place that prevented me from pursuing those things. I have heard him literally pick on people. He was at one church, and he made fun of a manโ€™s appearance and at another church he literally made fun of a mentally retarded man.

He is arrogant and full of crap.

He often exaggerates things and I guarantee he is not being totally honest about his ministry. Beware of him!

I believe Tom Stamman to be a man I look up to. He is serving the Lord and works hard.

I doubt that he is a *** man ripping people off and doing evil things. I originally posted this whole thing because of misunderstandings but that has been cleared up now and I believe Tom Stamman to be a man of integrity

Tom Stamman I have a question this is Adam the original poster of this thread and complaint. I lost your email so I couldn't email and I tried calling you but got no answer so I thought since you read this and this needs to be cleared up I would ask here.

My question is what happened to the land in Uganda that you had me invest in 9 years ago to grow crops on? I was told I would receive a check twice a year for my investment of an acre of land and to date I have not received a check at all and in your newsletters there is never a mention of a farm in Uganda to grow crops on. What happened to the land and the why haven't I received a check in 9 years. I am sure there is a good reason for it.

What is the answer it has bothered me all this time wondering what is going on and would like to clear this up.

If anyone else from Impact Ministries that comes on here would like to answer that would be great. I just want to get to the bottom of this there must be a good reason.

Just a quick observation here... How many times has Tom been married?

A quick Google search says once on August 2, 1980, once on June 15, 1996, and then his current marriage began January 30, 2004. I hope that none of them were tragic endings, but it also appears (via google) that the women survived the marriages, so perhaps this explains the his unbiblical push for other people to get divorced.

Then I'm sure we'd have to know the whole story before we made any judgments. Then again, Tom doesn't seems to have much trouble making judgments of his own without knowing much of the story at all!

I have known Tom for over 20 years and I have watched him continue to be a man of great integrity. As far as his marriages are concerned I can only say this that it was a miracle that he survived both of them before meeting Teresa who has been a God send to him as much as he is for her.It so easy to condemn others when get our feelings hurt.

Please before you spew any more unfounded or unjustified accusations find out the truth hidden at the base of the appearance. Tom you are a great blessing to myself and the Body of Christ.

I have not heard Tom admit of any mistakes, unlike the people he attacks. In watching his sermons, he definitely says mostly Biblical things.

Its when he gets off on his goofy tangents where the trouble comes in. Certainly King David and other great men of God have made mistakes, in fact, we all have. Hopefully we realize and admit our mistakes. Saying false things that can adversely alter someones path, whether their spiritual path or their physical life, and claiming they are from God is reprehensible.

I am not judging him for having been married before, it just helps to explain why he would advise my wife that it was ok to divorce me, even though it was unBiblical advice.

Everybody goes through stuff, but advising a Christian to leave her Christian husband who has been under major attack over things that didnt happen is absolutely wrong. I forgive him, but I do not trust his ministry since he sayd incredibly unBiblical things and I feel it important to warn others of what ive been through, because I'm not the first, and I'm sure i wont be the last to have such experiences with Tom.

I agree that investing in the kingdom reaps a harvest that we may or may not ever see in this earthly lifetime, so the original post, I believe is contradicted by scripture, as far as reaping what we sow is concerned. It does concern me, however, the similarities to mentalism that this ministry possesses.

I have followed Tom for some time now and I would propose that one takes a good hard look at the methodology of mentalism and how Tom relates to his audience. He appears to take particular interest in people's movements and especially eye movements, as a sort of assessment of their assessment of him. In Vegas, there is a certain few that can get away with "counting cards". Though I am inherently skeptical, I would not dismiss the thought that he can work his way into even your own mind by judging the physical motions that very few know how to read.

He is a very smart man. Flattery is step one of winning confidence. Perhaps this is all about the orphans, and I will not deny that they are being helped to some degree, but I would question the percentage that his ministry gives.

Anyone that claims 100% of all money that passes through their hands goes to the orphans, likely is behind some sort of deception, unless they were independently wealthy before the ministry. Perhaps there are more established ways that you could give your money to help the orphans.

Youtube "keith barry on the circle" to see something like this. If he is being deceptive about where all of his power comes from, why would it be so hard to think he would be ceceptive about where all of his money goes?

His responses have been as unscruptural as some of his prophecies. I believe his pride is bringing him down and what he originally meant to be an uplifting experience, is now turning into a spiritual appearing flesh- fest.

People who are out there blindly defending him will be accountable for the lives he hurts. It has gone too far.

Take a prophecy for what it's worth. One cannot deny the amazing work Tom and his ministry is doing in Honduras and other parts of the world.

Tom, like myself and all Christians are still sinners. We make mistakes.

All the more reason to love, trust, and follow Jesus.

I will not make any rash decisions based on Tom's prophecies for me. I will wait upon the Lord.

I can't wait to go to Honduras and see what God is doing in lives of many many children there.

Thanks Tom for being a child of God and doing something with your gifts.

Toms house is huge with tennis courts. Where did he get the money for that.

Tom also has a life outside of ministry. Where did the money come from that you used to purchase the items the Lord committed to your trust.

If you say through hard work and thoughtful investing...then you should understand were Tom got his money from.

The proceeds from the ministry goes to the ministry...the proceeds from his business and wise investing goes to his personal usage which he in turn uses for ministry, of course you have made yourself aware of what he uses his house and other possessions for......he who soweth discord among the brethren. ..

you make a great point... Tom is sowing discord amongst the brethren, or as a modern day person might say... he is a di(k

Tom claims to have businesses and investments he makes money from but where did he get the money for all that? He has been travelling to churches and preaching non stop since the 80s and has not had a real job.

He got the money in the offering plates doing his song and dance. He did not work for that money

I call you a liar to your face! I have seen Tom at my own church and have stood next to him while he spoke words to hundreds of people in the past 3 years.

He has never told any one to get a divorce. But he has prophecided 3 children and to my personal knowledge has been spot on in more than most of his prophecies. I will tell you now I am not the best christian out there, because I get so angry at people who give some money to a good cause and get pissed when you dont get what you want afterwords. I am a day away from spending way more than you did and dont expect a freaking thing back.

Its called trusting in God. By the way you need way more! You dont like what I say tuff! Its to late.

By the way GOD blesses you!

And I am not even a prophet. So that was a free one.

About 1 month ago, He literally told my wife to divorce me and that she made a mistake marrying me. I am trying to deal with the repercussions of that statement still.

This not a word from the Lord but rather opinion. It has been very damaging. When I approached him, it was just after he had been arrested and accused of grand theft auto in Polo, Il. Perhaps his grand theft auto accusation was fruit of his flesh, in telling my wife to divorce me, against biblical truth, prior to meeting me, at which point he changed his tune.

I know he can be led by the spirit, but lets not dive into our own flesh and get away from extoling our Christian brothers and sisters.

Let Gods spirit speak only truth and let out own opinion be just that.the danger comes in our opinion being stated as Spiritual. Lets fact check against Gods word before we believe everything that we hear.

Maybe you should fact check the reason for the arrest and then the outcome of it. He ministered to the individuals in the jail while he was there...he is really a great man-of-God.

Get the facts...all the facts... and nothing but the facts.....

I know what he said he did. That doesn't make it true.

When speaking to the Police on duty that night, it seems much less miraculous, and more like a person trying to relate to people in the cells, on their level. That doesn't make him a man of God, but rather a salesman.

you, Ivmusc, should dig a little deeper to see if you too are being deceived on any level. Chances are, if you take a couple steps back, you will find that Tom speaks in educated guesses and less in the spiritual.

because he said it, doesn't make it true. he says things that are hard to fact check, but he claims to have phoned a contact in India or some other far away place to correct the rental car "misunderstanding", so why could nobody in the US help him?

because he is a scam in multiple countries?

i feel sorry for the people who count on him for a Word from the Lord, but then I feel worse for the people who think they are giving to such a pure cause, when his business is built on such lies and falsity. give to a real charity, not Tom's personal refuge fund.

tom told a former pastor of ours in fort dodge iowa he would need 500 harvesters to help with the church growth. the pastors head swelled and it ended up costing the community of fort dodge a good chruch.

now it needs 5 members not 500 harvesters. we were a church of 150 till this bull happened.

tom seemed to only have good to say about the young men in that church not anyone who wasnt rich and one of the pastors favorites.
