I am relatively new to Real Estate in FL, and had submitted a bid for a HUD home on behalf of a client, which is where I assume they got my name. They sent an email solicitation which made it sound like it was directly from HUD, so I responded.

When I got my first phone call from them I listened patiently to their pitch, then started asking questions about specifically what kind of leads I'd get. What zip codes would they be from? What kind of pre-qualification of the leads did they get? What were some examples of the types of leads they'd had converted into sales and at what sales price?

The sales guy, Adrien, had no answers and evaded the questions. I politely told him I wasn't at all interested, hung up. He called me back five minutes later and started the same pitch! I told him I'd just talked to him and wasn't interested, hung up.

That was last Friday. Since then I've gotten at least another dozen phone calls AFTER calling them back twice and telling them if they call again I'd report them to the do not call list, which I just did. MAJOR SCAM, the provide you with absolutely no value, their website is a major joke. Any realtor would be much better off standing on a street corner with a sign saying "will work for food".

They used to use http://hudhomesdept.com as their url, but recently changed it to http://homeandhouselocator.com.

They do their best to disguise their true motive which is to suck in new realtors to spend money to get leads that they have no ability to generate-go to their site now and please LOOK. Do a google search for 'house locators', 'real estate', or any related terms and you'll NEVER see their site come up in the first three pages because they are worthless!

Reason of review: Marketing of a useless service that has zero value.

Preferred solution: Either go out of business, stop preying on new realtors who don't know better, or offer something of value for the exhorbitent prices you charge..

Hud Homes Cons: Relentlessly calling.

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida

I just had the same experience, and I'm a new realtor. They sent an email to a long list of Realty Executives agents, without hiding their emails, so after my call, and after finding these complaints, I Replied All to Jason and all those realtors, and exposed what I knew to them.

I am tired already of getting scam calls to buy advertising for my business with no proof of benefit for me.

Thanks for posting this. I tried, but it was going to take far too long after the initial complaint to fill out the form!
