Little contact other than the email from the hotel staffing manager. Two emails to Best Western Corporate have gone completely unanswered

We had a room block at the Heritage Inn in Southbury, CT for my daughter's wedding in August of 2021. Upon checking out of the hotel my daughter realized she left her diamond earrings on the bedside table.

We contacted the hotel within hours of leaving were given the run around and completely wrong and information. A friend who lived nearby was denied the ability to go into the room with a staff member present and search the room even though it was unoccupied. The hotel housekeeping manager avoided returning calls and emails and provided erroneous information regarding the missing earrings and his so-called attempts to find them.

This hotel is also large but quite dated and run down....don't waste your money, there is a Wyndam Hotel just three miles away that is smaller but less dated. Our guest who stayed there had no complaints as opposed to the guests at the Heritage who had poor reviews of the condition of their rooms.

User's recommendation: Don't stay at this property.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
