I was a salesman for Hair Club for 8 years. The wigs they sell (or as they call them "hair systems") come from the orient and cost $100.

The $3,500 pricetag covers the national TV advertising campaigns. The swiss lace wigs deteriorate in a month, so you then have to buy a membership $400-$500/month. It's a complete scam. We would always laugh at the guys who came in for consultations because they were so stupid to buy into this bs.

You can buy identical wigs online now for $100-$200 even better quality. No monthly fees. The whole company was set up as bait & switch by Sy Sperling.

The wigs look so fake it's obvious guys did not have natural hair. Plz avoid at all costs.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Must of what this person has said here is untrue. $320 is what I was paying per month.

I moved up to a program where I could come in more often for a "tune up" (5 weeks instead of 6) and now I'm paying $400. You can pay $1000 per month if you want and come in every few days, but for most people, the $320 or $400 plan is plenty.I don't know how much they pay for the systems, now do I care. The lace does not deteriorate in a month. You get several new wigs per year. Mine routinely last 3 months, sometimes 4.

To say they wear out in a month is a lie.The wigs I see coming and going from my local Hair Club don't look fake. Perhaps other HCM offices are not as good as mine. Women I've dated for months have not known that I was a member. On the other hand the TRANSPLANTS I've seen done under the auspices of HCM have been terrible. I would avoid those.

Also I hear that HCM will sell you Minoxidil.

I tried that for years and it did not work at all. I should have just gotten the $320 per month HC membership and started my new awesome life earlier.HCM is the best thing I've ever done.

Iโ€™m a former consultant and I agree with you. The WIGS ( we were trained to not call them that) were very poor quality from China.

Everyone at the office I was working out was wondering if it was indeed 100% human hair. Save your time and money and stay away from this company! They prey on peopleโ€™s insecurities and have the unlimited potential (again, through lots of training) to be able to lie their way out of it.

The EXT program is a scam as well. Sorry folks!

You stuck around for 8 years at such a bad company? As a โ€œsalesmanโ€ you must have made a lot of commission.
