My 90 yo father bought a Jitterbug and Great Call service (200 voice minutes/month, which should have been sufficient). He thought his Consumer Cellular phone had quite working (even though it had not, I later found out).

After some months, he started received numerous text messages and phone calls from unknown sources. Each and every call or text to/from his phone was billed at 25 - 35 cents a minute, even is the call only lasted 10 seconds. So he wound up with enormous overage charges. He doesn't even know how to text!

So far, his bills for the last 3 months are almost as much as 5 years of service with Consumer Cellular.

I am switching him back to Consumer Cellular.

DO NOT USE GREAT CALL!

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Monetary Loss: $600.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

GreatCall Cons: Charges for incoming calls and text messages.
