i have read many of the comments on this site and there seems to be a great deal of misunderstanding regarding the delivery of these buildings. Several folks seem quick to point the finger at Graceland and holding them responsible for issues stemming from the delivery/retrieval of these portable buildings. If folks listen and read their contracts it should be apparent that the delivery/retrieval of these buildings is contracted out to transport companies. Seems that if an issue arises from the delivery/retrieval it should be addressed with the transport company instead of trashing Graceland. If delivery is delayed, maybe they are waiting for the transport company to be able to fit you into their schedule. If there is damage to your property it should be repaired by the transport company. As to repossessions, just like a car or home, it is taken back "as is" and it is not the responsibility of the transport company to remove your belongings. Not to sound mean, but you do know that you haven't made payments (regardless of reason) and you do know that it will be repossessed. Remove the possessions you wish to keep or accept responsibility for not removing prior to repossession.

For those that complain about the financing, say that this is not a good deal understand that Graceland is not twisting anyone's arm to make them accept their deal. They are a "for profit" company and as such are entitled to make that profit. You are given the terms they offer and it is up to you to decide if it fits with your financial circumstances and needs. Just like a mortgage or an auto loan, you will pay for using someone else's money. If their product package does not seem like a good deal for you, go elsewhere. Just because it doesn't suit your needs doesn't mean that it isn't meant for other folks. Grow up and don't trash a product you are choosing not to use.

Most of the issues mentioned in these complaints could have been avoided with better communication and getting it in writing. Remember that the locations are independently owned and as such you are dealing with two entities. Cover all your bases, act responsibly, if they don't call you back then you call again. Not following up from your end only increases you chance of having a bad outcome.

I bought a building from Graceland and had a great experience AND I am getting ready to purchase another building. Bottom line, do your homework, research, and communicate. Always follow through with all issues until you receive you desired results. Don't leave it to anyone else to get your results for you ..... that is your job.

Reason of review: ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Location: Blenheim, South Carolina

I agree with many of the thoughts expressed in this review but I definitely wouldn't let Graceland off the hook for delivery and setup issues. Those are a huge part of the overall purchase experience and it's on them to contract with good companies.

We are fortunate here in Edgewood NM bc the Murphys provide excellent sales/customer service AND excellent delivery and setup service. Too bad that's not the case companywide, but it's still a Graceland issue IMO
